Fat Scott WAS the toxic politics behind the scene before he got outmaneuvered
Be careful - a lot of people on this board think recruiting / development isnt important anymore

That’s easy - I based it off no logic

Hope that helps
Hiding the Saban news until LK gets everything he needs from OM by pushing the Florida offer up to match LSU. Then they sign at the same time
Its hardly even a real lawsuit

Don't speak to me or my source that way ever again.

They leave if they know they wont get playing time or theyre are coming from a smaller school.

In situation one, you're probably getting a dud like Gilbert. In situation two, its probably someone you passed over in recruiting either way. You still need to be able to reel in 5 star talent and develop them - this skill hasnt just gone by the way side, even if its slightly less important now than before.

Too many people are quick to say "none of that matters at all anymore" and thats just not true. You want guys like Pickett that show you can develop big time players from the jump, because then you hopefully have less holes to fill in. If you rely only on the portal, you need to fill every position every year.

You'll get downvoted but you're right, the best coaches need to be able to do both. Filling gaps with the portal every year isn't good enough

if true and OM is letting him parade around the media circuit still while grabbing his stars thats insane
1- I think we would have won if Nuss didn't play.

2- There are other problems plaguing this team.

3- Fixing that one problems doesn't mean the other problems go away, but another outcome to the game could have happened even with the other problems.

This is remedial thinking skills.
I never said he was the only problem either. Don't put words in my mouth. I still think we win if he doesn't play because even if he wasn't the only problem he was a BIG problem. How do you not get that?
What your doing right now is called "denial"
Because he was hurt and played regardless. Probably the one game where his injury was most prominent as well. He played BAD to dumb it down.
Not to mention he wouldve lost to BK twice has Nuss not been playing
I just hope there isn't a whiplash effect and we get Drink after, because I don't feel confident Lane is picking us. We need to start seriously vetting our other options and get someone who is hungry.
The simple correlation with your ranking is the product that's put on the field. When the team is a top 10 team like it was perennially up to 2012, you get the best fan experience.

Its so weird and narcissistic seeing old heads like act like the experience is ruined because LSU lost them as fan.

Even the most recent sauce said "Lane has an offer but Florida has the edge and he might stay at OM". To me that sounds like its their battle and we're there for noise only

Delusional Lane theory

Posted by BoominSchous on 11/16/25 at 2:51 pm
It feels like the news over the past two weeks or so is that Florida has been hawking around the goal for a while now while Ole Miss fights these potential offers from UF / LSU. TONS of smoke from Florida insiders as well as discussions of ultimatums from Ole Miss - meanwhile the whole LSU storyline essentially boils down to "there's an offer" and "don't overthink it - we're TOTALLY trying here."

The most LSU smoke was really around the idea that Saban was given a number at some point (or Sexton gave LSU a number), but now we've moved on to Saban backchannelling with Lane and selling him on the Tiger dream (why he would waste time consulting for us I don't know).

Its a delusional take, but I'm going to chew on it for a bit this Sunday for the fun of it. All the above would suggest that Saban is more or so locked in and Sexton is only using LSU as a theoretical third party to keep the flame on Florida & OM and push their numbers up. Maybe the Florida search is just a little more leaky in regards to information, but the LSU insight is so vague for Lane ("he has an offer he might pick us") that it feels like we're not really involved in that hunt.

All in all - we're still riding

:pimp:
Just keep getting him reps and bring in someone and they can battle. No need to decide that now
