the problem with trying is you will set the program back when we have solid classes coming in. Let Les coach this frosh class up. If it s more of the same next year, i might agree it is time to move on. But im not willing to blow the whole thing up becuase people didnt like the guy when we hired him. Most of you will hate the next guy if he doesnt win the sec in year 1.

But when does the admin or TAF say enough .

Les Miles has had a ton of success.

TAF isn't going to make a move after one 4 or 5 loss season.
ITs a dum move.

People act like we are the only team in the country, and have more talent than every other team put together and that just isn't the truth.

I agree. We've learned that since Joe Dean.

plus, i don't think the silent majority of Texas fans are anywhere near wanting to get rid of Strong.

You are missing a key point.

Miles has been here WAY too long to have this much stupidity/stubbornness.

He simply can't hire the right coord or develop an offense.

MEANWHILE, creative minds like Malzahn, Mullins and even Lane Kiffin.....frick, did I just say Lane Kiffin?....just took way less time to either implement the right offense or recruit the right guys.

And don't even get me started on Arkansas. They played us picture-perfectly. They got us to pay way too much for miles and KEEP him while they hired an okay Big10 guy with WAY less talent.....and he shut miles out.

Fire his arse; or make his chest-less arse quit.

The point is that there actually is grass. It may not ALWAYS be greener, but some here make it sound like there's not a damn blade of grass on the other side.

You think Texas is going to call for Charlie Strong to be fired? Not for a long time buddy.

Texas has gotten better and better and better this season, with a crappy QB.

I am with you 100 percent Sammy . My point being if lsu fans are waiting to see Les run the program into the ground it ain't going to happen .. Joe and i have no faith that he will needs to have a serious chat with Les about the inability to develop a QB. That's the root core of the issue .. Was Cameron the best hire ? Well he was ran out of Baltimore plus him and Les are a-hole friends.. And it has to go deeper than that like you have to give all the offensive control to the OC.. Sounds like micromanagement but in my profession that's called a PIP.. If that cannot be done, nothing will change .. Firing les this year ? Ain't going to happen. but will say this , the 17 million is there

How do you know? Maybe jennings is better than what he was in HS, idk i didnt watch him in HS. Jennings also wasnt in this frosh class im talking about.

Will Muschamp is available, he was a name thrown out there that people wanted over Miles.

And you can also add fire to the flame when you lose your solid incoming recruiting class when Alleva inexplicably picks Al Golden.

Strong hasn't proven to be good recruiter in Texas yet...he's gotten owned so far by A&M. We'll see how it goes.

Im sure it is, but are we really going to pay someone 17 million to not coach? Then turn around and have to shell out millions to a new staff?

You will also hurt recruiting unless you make the move early enough. Like i said i dont want to waste this true frosh class we just had.

When saban left we had 8 commits and finished with 13. LSU does not recruit itself like people think it does.

I've said I'd welcome an upgrade.

But you are missing a key point: there's no guarantee Alleva can hire a great coach for a great program.

In fact, if I were a betting man, he'd choose some unknown up & comer at a smaller school on a hot streak. Curley Hallman all over again.
