I do not have cable, so I'll probably just end up going to the game.

Get ready to push the button. It's Brent Musburger, Kirk Herbstreit, Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi.

This is accurate, but the link you provided is for last year's bowl announcers.

Horrible. musburger ruins the game for me. Herbie is pretty good during games but Musburger is intolerable.

I HATE that they do this. The BCS should require the game to be on Network TV as part of the agreement. Doesn't affect me, but I'd guess it costs them a few million viewers at least. As does the 9pm eastern start time. Why can't they start the game at 7:30 or even 8 eastern (which would be 5 PST)?

THANK GOD!

WHy do you say this? There is zero difference in the broadcast itself.

I don't think there are many sports fans that don't have cable.

Under the cloud of Bannage: I shudder to say one step from these games going to Pay Per View.

Don't ban me too hard Mr. Chicken.

Basic cable does not include ESPN. I have a friend that has a Cox Cable package that does not give him ESPN. He gets FX, TBS (but not TNT), A&E, VH1, and some other crappy stations, but no ESPN.

There is no HD option anywhere near me. The ABC affiliate has the worst picture of any channel we receive.

It's truly horrible. I should post a pic. It's not guaranteed you can tell which team is which.

A friend of mine switches from satellite to a HD antenna when games are on local stations b/c the picture is better. Have you tried that for ABC games?

Since it is on ESPN, it will most likley be shown as well on local stations in Bama and Louisiana. When the Giants or Jets play on ESPN on Monday nights here, one of the local stations show the game as well with the ESPN feed.

how many people without cable TV are going to be pissed when they realize that can't watch the BCS Bowls, including the BCS title game?
All the BCS bowls and title game were on ESPN last year so I would hope that they would have figured it out last year and had a year to adapt to things.

I still dont understand the decision by ESPN to put these games on ESPN and not a national channel. What is the point?

I would think the cable/satellite providers would view the game as an opportunity to gain more customers.
