Also if you are a fringe player hoping to get drafted or even getting a camp tryout, these games mean you get to put something on tape for NFL Scouts.

Both coaches can express their wishes, but the NCAA site manager makes all calls on weather. Neither coach has anything to do with the final decision on start time.

I do hope some of you folks realize the NCAA runs this venue like all the others. The delays are totally their call not LSU.
LSU defers to the NCAA on everything about the tournament games, hence no walk-up music for the home team.
The only thing that LSU had control over was which game the wanted first or second.
