3 replies and all 3 were this example. Sure that's frustrating, but the game wasn't riddled with coaching blunders, lack of organization. It was riddled with average players and bad mistakes.

The only thing we know about the corners is they can't tackle and but relatively hard on fakes. Once a QB shows they can be remotely accurate, a team cannot run soft zone all day. We also got insanely lucky they dropped like 5 passes.

The Saban team that lost to UAB would kick Brian Kelly’s LSU team’s arse.
You think this is really the team BK wants? Give it time!

Yea, and Kelly ate it.

Still, realistically, some things are going to take time.

The ST play was really bad. This team would have lost by 2 TD’s last night with O and his coaching staff though. You can’t go raiding the portal and expect to be some dominant team. If you start a FR at LT, have a tackle starting at center, have rejects from other schools at LB, you are going to struggle. Oh yeah and our all world WR didn’t want to play. They will improve as the season goes on. SMH

I'll give it a year. I believe Kelly is a good coach. The leftovers from the last 2 seasons are still on the team and I don't believe you can change a team's culture in 1 summer. New HC, OC, DC and QB on a team that was horrible last season should make for a shaky start of the season. As bad as LSU played last night the game should have went to overtime if not for special team's miscues. Those hopefully are fixed going forward. At least we know this team is resilient, that 99 yard drive at the end of the game did give me something to look forward to this year.

ST was bad.

Though I would have trotted Nabers back out for the 2nd punt, too.

The FG stuff is squarely on Polian. They even tried to fix it & it still wasn’t corrected. That was bad.

The soft zone was tough to watch but we are playing it because we don’t have a shut down corner. That’s the talent level we have with to work with. Our tackling was really bad which is a coaching issue imo.

No talent in 2000: Josh Reed, Ryan Clark, Rohan Davey, Trev Faulk, Bradie James, Corey Webster, Domanick Davis, Tommy Banks, Jarvis Green, Lionel Turner, Jeremy Lawrence, Brandon Winey, Robert Royal, Joe Domingeaux, Howard Green etc.

Yep. Offense and defense played better in the 4th quarter. They were gaining confidence. Last years team would have quit after halftime.

It’s only brother. There’s a process you know. It will take time.

I guess when you’re committed to going full retard, there’s no point in holding back at all.
