Fukin Skippy said he wanted to bring the bleachers for their magic capabilities. He even had everyone yell at once and captured it in a big ball. Then opening day had KGrannie and Bruin fan carry it out to second base and open the ball. It was a fukin joke.

Agreed, was there Friday and Saturday. I was blown away by the ice chest thing, they don't even care, they check, but they know. There was bourbon bottles everywhere. Friday night we were like 8 rows behind home plate, Saturday in the Omaha club or some shite. Had a table and 4 chairs as our seats. Awesome experience, very cool atmosphere, it is better than the Box, and it is not even close.

That's not entirely accurate. They were having a hell of a good time the first half or do of Fridays game. Then we sucked the life out of them. Lol

Need to go back to the stadium marshal system. Yeah, you had the odd Ed House-type (RIP, Ed) who thought he was Barney Fife. But the solid majority of those older folks were just common-sense people who wanted an enjoyable game atmosphere for everyone.

This is true. Skip spent enormous energy and time in "cutting down" the contractor's bid price when the economy went south. Of course he got the contractor to cut profit but he also started cutting out features so he would not have to postpone the start of construction. So out went the berm in R centerfield, the high end features of the indoor hitting/pitching bldg, the additional(later added) suites, the chairbacks down both foul lines, etc. By now we should have added all of these but fan enthusiasm did not reach the level Skip achieved during PM's tenure.

When I go to a ball game I go to watch the game on the field, Not the amenities/features of the stadium.
