We could still end up 7-5. Like I said, we haven't beat any good team yet and we're about to play 4 of them.

I think we'll probably split and end up 9-3 or 8-4 and no will be surprised. How many years of 8-9 wins are acceptable at LSU before a change is needed? Y'all quickly forget the Les years where he was run out of town for having those records even a couple years.

are. The offense is averaging 20 PPG against D1 teams this year. Nuss is closing in on a 1-1 TD-INT ratio in SEC play between last year and this year.
if we score 23 we win.

Would you bet that LSU goes 7-5? Would anybody talking all this crap bet LSU goes 7-5?

While I wouldn't want 9-3, my God have you seen the country? Have you seen the SEC? I would place a bet that literally every single SEC team will have no less than 2 losses before the conference championship game.

Personally speaking, i think LSU beats TAMU and Vandy by double digits. Ive already mentioned days ago what TAMU has going against it. I know for a fact Vandy is just overrated.

I think we unfortunately lose to Bama in a game by 1-2 points. However i expect us to be playing for the chance at a conference championship vs Oklahoma. I see an improving team.

How many 9 win seasons was acceptable at Michigan before they went to the playoffs 3 years in a row and won a national championship? Under the 3 prior national championship coaches, none of it was sustained success. This is a process that has to be worked out over time. How long did it take Ryan Day and Kirby Smart before they won a championship? And both of those guys were given the core of their team's first championship appearance by their predecessors.

LSU is cooking. It's a slow process. We'll keep winning games this year and make the playoffs.

You honestly think the LSU offense you’ve been watching all year is going to beat A&M or Alabama? Or even at OU?

Yes LSUs defense will keep them in just about every game but teams like Alabama and A&M will have enough offense to be able to score 20-24 points on LSU. Problem is LSUs offense won’t even come close to scoring that many offensive points on them unless the defense returns an interception or fumble for a TD.

We gonna have to be realistic here and get our heads out of the sand. This offense is still anemic and will not be able to move the ball enough on either team and our defense will be gassed just like the Ole Miss game. Is 9-3 or 8-4 good enough for you again?

Screw the media. I’m more upset about losing to Ole Piss than anything the media or Vegas have to say.

Respect is earned. Beat Vandy and they will get more respect.

This is such a mentally weak position, and unfortunately it’s the norm around here. You’ll undoubtedly be back to “eat crow” if/when we happen to get this offense clicking. But for now, you predict doom and gloom and expect the worst so your feeble brain can take it if don’t do well. Man up.

With the way the media has been running their mouth all week combined with the Vegas line I hope this team comes out pissed off
why does anyone spend a single second worrying about what the media thinks?

They don't know more than anyone else and they aren't part of the Playoff Selection Committee's rankings, so they're irrelevant.

Ignore them.

There's only way to flip the script and it's what they did in week 1.

Winning changes the tone. Losing boosts it.

The alternative is stop giving a shite altogether.

The best statement they could make would be to put 35-42 points on the board !

The only other defense that Vandy has seen that's comparable to LSU is Bama and they scored 14.

Vandy's weakness on defense is their pass defense. That's what LSU's offense does best.

People want Vandy to win because they are loveable underdogs. They are a good team, but let's keep perspective. Here's who Vandy beat this year:

Charleston Southern (1-6)
V Tech (2-4)
GA State (1-5)
Utah St. (3-3)
South Carolina (Sellers concussed on targeting with the game 14-7 in first half.)

Aside from when they play dog poo teams that can't win at all, they seem to get up for one half of each game. In V Tech, they were down 20-10 at half: against Utah St., they gave up 21 pts in the 1st half; against Bama, they were shutout in the 2nd half; against SC it was 14-7 when Sellers went down with 2 min left in the first half.

They aren't some crazy offensive juggernaut, they are a pretty basic team that has a good QB who can run the offense well.

I believe LSU's defense is going to remind everyone who they are again and if LSU's offense can play clean, they should be able to score points in this one.

Let everyone and their brother pick Vandy to win. Let the team come out with a chip on their shoulder and play with concentrated purpose. I like it.

frick off. After losing by 5 on the road to Ole Miss, people wanted Kelly fired, Davis fired, Sloan fired, shitting on the defense, wanted Nuss to just declare for the draft, and thought we'd be 6-6 or 7-5 the rest of the way.

Hmm seems like those people might have been on to something…
