Our fans are our program’s worst enemy.

I was in NRG for that opener against Wisconsin. I was also excited to see what Fournette would do but I was a bit surprised in his lack of productivity. Was an outlier of a game where on the season LSU was arse in the passing game but for some reason in that one we couldn't be stopped. Game looked pretty bleak at halftime, almost got into a fight with a drunk, res
I was there thinking why did Wisconsin stop running Melvin Gordon l. It was unbelievable what he was doing and their coach was just stupid.

No he pulled his hamstring on that long run first play out of the half. He pulled up before the end zone.
No way we win that game if he stays in.
Pretty good DC we faced in that one. Dural cut up

I was there as well—- the jukes and spin moves Diarse put on to score was my favorite play of the game.
Enjoyed that slugfest much more than the Lambeau trip a couple years later.

If Fournette had 50% of their mindset and work ethic he'd be on a similar track.
Yep
I watched him a bit in high school. He was a man child. He was built like an nfl back in his senior year. He just mowed guys over and had enough wiggle to make people miss.
Now in the NFL, he’s the same size but defenders are huge and fast. He never worked his game to bring the level up but rather, stayed the same.
Fournette is happy to have peaked in high school.

Dude was a heisman contender in college, drafted high in the first round, ran for 1k yards TWICE in the NFL, won a super bowl ring but yea he peaked in high school

One rough outing and he wanted to transfer that badly?
These kids (Fournette types) LITERALLY have never heard criticism. Add that to the fact that our fanbase are emotional pussies who have zero reservations about insulting a player, and you get something like this.
It resembles a child's emotional outburst to cope with a negative event.

A bigger reason LSU won is because their big nose tackle Warren Herring went out with a knee injury then LSU started opening up semi truck holes through their D.

You gotta listen to the interview. At that point he had probably never had a bad game his entire life. #1 recruit in the country and he got shut down on national tv in his first game. Probably didn’t know how to handle it
Well he sure wasn’t ready for Alabama in 2015 then. They ruined his perfect LSU season. He was headed to NYC until that game.

That really shows the players do read and are effected by what’s said on here and other sites. We have to remember these are young guys, so we should choose our words wisely even if we are just some random guys from the internet.

Amen. People think the things they say don’t matter to these players. Majority it might not but some of the guys it matters big time to them what people think.
Depression is a big thing in college football. With that being said, if you want to trash coaches making tens of millions of dollars, be my guest. That’s what they’re paid for. High pressure.
