3) COVID. We handled it very poorly compared to other programs. More than infection rates or contact tracing, it is the restrictions we have placed on the athletes that have led to a deterioration of the team culture. They are doing nothing but practicing, losing games, and sitting at home smoking weed. It's not healthy and no one is having fun. Ed's primary selling point is culture and he has failed miserably this year.

3) Turmoil in personal life. The divorce and photos of the new floozy in bed has rattled Ed. If drinking and a pregnancy are also part of the story, it's even worse than we know. Also, Ed and Woodward are not getting along as friends.

Regarding #3b - where/when did the pregnancy rumor begin? This is the first I’m hearing of it.

BLM garbage. Ed did not sufficiently kow-tow to the black players' political demands. Right or wrong, it created a divide in the locker room and another source of instability.

Good. We shouldn’t have to pretend a man who chops off his dick is magically a woman, and we shouldn’t have to pretend blacks are being genocided by cops. Not a single player on that team is oppressed or prejudiced in any way. Grow the frick up.

Yale

By the way, some studies also show that blacks are disproportionately victims of non-lethal police force. They are roughed up more than whites. I agree that racism likely plays a role in that. But they aren't being gunned down in the streets by cops in any targeted way, which is the primary message of BLM (garbage).

It's easy to see if you've ever dealt with political situations and have good context from guys like you. O may not get fired, but the AD is leaving his options conspicuously, noisily open amidst this shite show. If it weren't on the table, Woody would be out there trying to calm the seas.

Ed says he didn't know about the march until it had started and then he met the team at the President's office. Not sure why he didn't know that players had decided to skip practice. Saban has guys that tell him everything that is going on off the field with their players. Where was Derek Pomansky in this process? He is paid $100K/year to be Ed's eyes and ears, in addition to handling social media under a myriad of noms de plume. If he didn't know about this or tell Ed in time, he should be fired. If Ed didn't think it was important enough to get in front of this, . . .

I don’t understand the “compromising” photo. Maybe I haven’t followed the story closely enough, but what’s the big effing deal? She’s of age, he’s not married. How is this a problem in Louisiana 37 years after Edwin Edwards said the only way he could lose to Dave Treen was to be caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy?

She might be of age...barely. It’s not a good look and one he shouldn’t have let himself get in. I don’t care if he’s out banging ho’s nightly but at least be discreet. Can you think of any other head coach that’s been captured in that position...and survived? Nope

If being aged 40-50 is barely of age, then you may be right.

Add in the clisterfrick that was class of 2018. While I don’t pin all of that on Ed O as much as I do the negative recruiting by other coaches and programs against him following his first full year.

That has as much to do with this season’s shytshow as anything else.

In what position? An unmarried coach with a TWENTY EIGHT year old woman? GTFO with this stuff. There’s nothing to survive except your perception of whether it is a “good look.”

Does it contribute to the perception that he’s not working hard and that’s contributing to the losing? Sure. But again- perception.

I hate to break the news to you , but Ed will be here next year. You may as well get used to the idea.

Agreed. And the moment we start winning again, all of the negativity will return to it's hole.

Don't get me wrong- fans have a right to gripe about what's happening. O has a lot to straighten out.

But nothing soothes turmoil quite like winning.

true but it's bad when some fans truly enjoy this year bc they hated the hire and want to say I told you so...the same fans said O won't win any titles SEC or NCAA at LSU

Because statistical data proves that black men are not disproportionately subjected to deadly force by police officers. In fact, they are less likely to experience deadly force than white suspects. Crazy, but true all the same.

I'm not even mad you got on here and spouted this lie. I'm mad 110+ people were dumb enough to co-sign it,

LINK

quote:

Victims were majority white (52%) but disproportionately black (32%) with a fatality rate 2.8 times higher among blacks than whites. Most victims were reported to be armed (83%); however, black victims were more likely to be unarmed (14.8%) than white (9.4%) or Hispanic (5.8%) victims.

BLM Has very little to do with the black lives matter it’s more about pushing a communist agenda you ignorant dip shite yes black lives do matter but all Black Lives Matter, That includes black on black killings too.

The only thing sounding racist here is your stupid arse remark

First off the players' march did not involve BLM. I know racists have made BLM a boogie man to red herring the fight for equally for African Americans. The Marxist argument replicates the Communist argument racists made against African Americans fighting for their freedom and equality during the Civil Rights era. As if Maxism or Communism is more important to African Americans than true equality in a democracy. Although Communists and Marxists did not enslave Africans. And racists now seem to be ok with Communism if it support their racist agenda.

And of course as is typical of a racist, to defend racism against African Americans, you threw in the black on black crime spiel. As if that somehow justifies police brutality, unequal justice and a miriad of other negative impacts of racism on the African American community. As if it's ok to treat them differently because they are somehow defective humans and don't deserve equality.

They can't handle the truth. Especially when it doesn't support their racist view of the world. Anybody claiming African Americans are treated the same as white people in America, historically or complementarity, is either a racist, a liar, both or mentally incapable of observing the obvious. No sane white person would trade places with the average black person.

Every metric in American society shows unequivocally that African Americans are treated as second class citizens. Every single one. The typical racist's response to the metric is to deny them like the guy you responded to. Or to blame black people like the ones who cite black on black crime, unwed mothers, etc.

Perhaps.......and this is just a PERHAPS now......if African American males weren’t committing most of the crimes (WITH 83% OF THEM BEING frickING ARMED) then PERHAPS the numbers of tragic fatal police encounters would go down?!?!?!? PERHAPS?!?!?!?
