The O-line didn't fire off the line on the snap. Lazy piss-poor effort on a crucial 3 and 1.

100% he should’ve kept that. That’s a bad read on nuss. D-end crashed In.

Very smart move for himself. More coming…..”Not my decision” is a common statement to players that clearly see what’s happening in practice and question the coaches.
These guys are frustrated and have nobody in the building to go to, it comes from the top.
These are your guys that are not gonna run wrong routes, block the wrong guy, get penalized and hurt the team selfishly, and can compete athletically, but are not the big names and NIL investments.
Time to lookout for themselves, LSU clearly is going in a different direction with culture and playing decisions.
Kelly has himself to blame with the locker room behavior, and should be of no surprise what happened out in the field.
Great acting job at the press conference.
Can he manage in the NIL age? Can he balance the roster for control in the locker room? Can he deliver on promises to high profile recruits/transfers of playtime not performing in practice or in the game? Can he hang onto players that see all this, and question the direction of program?
I think coaches with NFL experience will handle this new NIL/transfer age better.
This is the same environment Saban left the NFL because he could not manage the players with money and egos. Now it’s in college football, exactly why Nick said you better pay the “RIGHT” players, or you are in trouble!

I wonder if Nuss lacks the confidence to check out of that play
I wonder if Sloan was on video screaming at Nuss to stop checking out of the plays he called.

Hes a more polished Les Miles

Question, why as a coach do we allow players to say shot to the media like make no mistake, we gonna run it at them and we don’t care if they know it? It’s obvious USC took that personal, loaded the box and made it a point to make us eat our words? If you think bulletin board material like that is irrelevant then you’re just being naive. That defense played with a chip on their shoulder and I have no doubt we fueled it.

Markway transferring hurt
Not on this play. They went hurry up and Pimpton had just caught a 14 yard pass. If they run that to left Taylor blocks it.

There was no engage/read/react going on.
If like you said the coaches have not given Nuss the authority to audible in situations like this, then this is totally on the coaches. Either schedule a game zero game to prep Nuss or prep Nuss in practice. Just don't go into the game scared of your QB making bad decisions. Damn, I just want Nuss to check out of the play and throw the quick slant to Lacy here. Let them play.

Formation and rush to the line bring ten defenders in the box on that play and a complete sellout against the run.
By far the worst play call of the night

And runs from the shotgun right up the middle on an obvious running down are still retarded

This is such a load of horse shite
You’re telling me a 6’6 240# human can’t block another human with 2 hands? Come on.

Db 10 yards off and we do not throw a quick slant or a quick 3 yard hitch for the 1st
absolute atrocious play calling and lack of reading the D pre snap and using an audible at the LOS

A non blocking TE is just a slow receiver. Drives me crazy when commentators talk about blocking vs receiving TE's. A TE who can't block is a liability no matter how well he catches passes.

The blocking on this play was horrendous.
It was also the most horrendous play call of the game. Why were we hurrying there? There was no need to rush up and run that play. And you have a QB that under no circumstances is going to run it so it's the most obvious play call imaginable. Easily my least favorite play of the game. Just so incredibly dumb.

Trying to run against an 8 man box is almost impossible. The two tight end set limited us because I dont think we threw out of it at all. They committed to the run when we were in that. BK mentioned this in his press conference 30 minutes ago.

Additionally look how far off the DB is from lacy. Should have been an easy check at the line.
But no, we telegraph that play and run right into the teeth of the defense.
Atrocious play call,

Stupidest play of the game. No coach worth his salt would'f called that
