Well you seem very confused on why I disagreed with that part of the article.
It’s an article about what Brian Kelly is doing wrong and needs to change.
Specially that area of the article is why he can’t fit in to the LSU culture which cites players down here as opposed to players who go to Notre Dame not understanding accountability.
I think it’s insulting to people here (given that the majority of players are from LA) that one of the main things they cite that Kelly was at clash with was accountability. The implication being that he will not be successful because accountability is not and will never be part of the culture.
I think everyone is in agreement that was one of the things that Kelly needed to FIX coming in. Now they are saying that “well I guess it’s a foreign language down here and they will never get it so might as well give up” while simultaneously patting themselves on the back because players at a place like Notre Dane get it.

I was confused because you made it seem like they were just trying to insult people from Louisiana when one of the guys who wrote the articles is good friends with the most “Louisiana” guy ever.
The article says “Installing culture is a great idea, but now the way you’re installing culture is actually creating a culture problem”. That a quote from a former staffer. So they agree that obviously a culture change was needed, but maybe BK could do it in a better way.

It's an easy article for clicks and will be recycled annually until Brian Kelly plays for a championship and Notre Dame keeps making playoffs.
Article came out this week, instead of next week, for maximum clicks since there's a chance Notre Dame loses to USC on Saturday, and Notre Dame fans won't care to read about Kelly's failures, anymore, if they lose.

His teams are soft. Both lines get pushed around. Hasn’t brought in guys who won’t get pushed around.
I’ve never heard a player say anything to the effect that they’re playing for Coach Kelly. Total opposite mindset compared to last two coaches.
No Special Teams Coordinator. I’ve never heard of a team that didn’t have a dedicated STC. Result- Horrible special teams.
Hired Matt House and trusted the defense to him.

Wouldn’t think it was directly being done by Larry as much as the wife using being married to Larry. He may make a phone call, but it’s under her direction. He has no connection to Michigan besides her. Their marriage seemed to be announced at same time as Underwood’s flip.
Doesn’t seem like anyone knew about marriage or much about her. They are assuming this is her because picture is within a couple of years, and she is wearing a Michigan hat.

I think he is likable
i personally like the guy. he was never someone i thought we'd get because i just never thought he'd leave ND for here. but guess what, he did. for a high price of course, but he did it because i think he sees the vision to get it back going here. It hasn't happened as fast as we'd all like but lack of scholarship players when he got here was really a huge hurdle to overcome, yes, even with the portal which he used two years in row. Point being, I like him because THEY hate him. He came here to win, and I hope he gets serious in the portal, continues to recruit well and build us up again.

LSU fans acting like people hating Brian Kelly is some new phenomenon are just wrong.
His bald faced lies to the Cincinnati players before confirming he was on his way to Notre Dame are well chronicled.
The Declan Sullivan incident in which the kid died and the former ND AD, who Kelly took shots at when he left, lied through his teeth to protect him.
Before the debacle against Alabama in the BCS title game it was discovered by school officials he was trying to get the Eagles job. And tried to lie his way out of that by claiming he was just curious.
This oft repeated rant about him being brought in to clean up player misconduct misses the fact that Notre Dame had to forfeit wins under his watch. Players were constantly in trouble there.
He's a brilliant politician. Better than he is at being a HC. How novel and exciting it was for some media and SEC fans to read about him trashing ND on his way out. Finebaum would almost orgasm over it. Thamel on ESPN too.
Now. The chickens have come home to roost. Deboer doesn't get any of that at Alabama because his mouth didn't write checks that his coaching couldn't cover.
