The Times is nothing but a liberal rag that I wouldn’t even wipe my arse with.

LSU needs the balls to tell em to lay the fu** off

It hurts our cash cow too and it’s obvious

Part of me wishes CBK would take this shite personally and stop affording interviews & playing nice AND man up and start wrecking shite.

You know what else hurts your cash cow? Incompetent leadership for the team and the hiring of unqualified coordinators. You know what else? Poor management and getting your arse blow out over and over again.

Nothing has changed from 2021 to now other than less opt outs and even more money invested into the team/coaches.

Still getting played by recruits, still hiring inept assistants to be OC and DC (House) and the defensive coaches the previous two years. Still can’t have stable special teams and continues to look a fool attacking players publicly when his staff is the biggest reason for their struggles.

It’s bigger than that - it hurts LSU too

I think it’s a bit of BS to throw a huge fricking spotlight on the guy when so many other guys have fallen on their faces too.

Although the coaching and been lackluster this year with some of the in-game decisions we've seen (and obviously the Bama performance was abysmal), Kelly does get overly criticized considering the results he has had. He had 7-consecutive 10-win seasons coming into this year. That's hard to do anywhere. How many active coaches have a streak like that?

Saban had one going, but he retired
Dabo Swinney had an impressive one at one point before the last few seasons. I can't even think of another coach who has had as many consecutive 10+ win seasons before this year. Maybe Kirby. Obviously Kirby has been elite and has the titles putting him at elite status regardless of the double-digit game winning streak.

But for everyone else, there aren't too many who are consistently successful on that level. Kelly does need to fix a number of issues, but he seemed somewhat due for a letdown season. When you get paid what he gets paid though, you have to produce. And he has had some issues in the bigger games, so not saying he shouldn't get any criticism.

with the only negative being that he can't seem to win the big one

I posted that as his reputation, which is why he's held to a higher standard than the other coaches listed by the OP. I then followed it up to say that he has not maintained that standard at LSU because we have lost more than just the big one. By year 3, he should at least have us where we're in bug games, even is we lose them.

When I said who cares, my point was that it doesn't matter if his reputation is for losing the big one if he's losing more than that at LSU. We can't lose the big one if we don't get there.

Well, directly hurting LSU also steers the players you need to DO this. Media also took shots at Miles and O.

what really separates him from Kiffin, Deboer, Elko and those guys

Headline literally on the same page of stories “In major collapse, Alabama is held to its lowest points total in 20 years.”

Quit your purple and gold whining. Kelly gets $10 mil a year to deal with these things. Kelly’s had 3 years at a program proven to be capable of winning at a very high level. The overall trajectory of the program is very questionable. He needs to and deserves to feel heat.

Feldman didn't even have LSU as a playoff team this year, now they're suddenly "below expectations."

Well LSU is 6-4 in the 3rd year of a HC that's making 100 mil.

...is that not "below expectations" ? Sounds like it to me.

I honeslty dont give shite about another program's shortcomings. Using those to feel good or excuse our shortcomings is "loser logic".

The New York Times also wrote an article about Lane Kiffin 2 days ago. Just because you don’t read about other coaches doesn’t mean that they aren’t getting criticized too.

I'm the biggest USCw and Lincoln Riley fan, ever, this weekend.

Need Notre Dame to get the matchup with UGA/Tennessee/Texas in first round of playoff in a big way.

Or maybe the 2nd loss eliminates them entirely since the first loss is so bad.

All that matters are championships. That’s it. He does not appear to be headed to that goal as things stand now.

I mean we had two players suspended against Florida for these exact type of things… Isn’t the whole reason he came to LSU that he couldn’t get the same players because off the field requirements were too much at ND?

In regards to academic entrance requirements.

Letting stuff slide and having no expectations is a recipe for disaster in the long term.

Our guys can show up to meetings on time, go to class, show up for nutrition etc just like notre dame. If they can’t then they can deal with the consequences.

They are paid very well. This is their job.

These are life skills. Implying that our guys are incapable of being competent adults and that is incompatible with LSU is insulting

These things are all true. To this point based on expectations, Kelly is a C- and heading in reverse.
