he simply wanted to try the NFL, and when that didnt work,

He dismissed the questions that always came up about this by mentioning how difficult the NFL professionals would be to coach his way.

That’s what made the whole thing infuriating

Honestly if the way Saban runs his program is what it takes to win at the highest level now, I’m not that interested anymore

Well, you see the way the light is shining , don't you ? Satan will change NOTHING until losing forces him to. We just need to beat Alabama , & until we do it's gonna be SOS

The fact that some if you believe les miles is a better Hc than O is hilarious.
Said it before and I'll say it again. He's the most overrated coach of this generation.

He still has not been hired since being let go of LSU. That's all you need to know in regards to what people really think of him.

Great recruiter? Absolutely. But even then, he fell in love with the star wideouts and corners and left the positions that truly help win football games rot away. How many times did you hear him say he would change and meanuver his thinking in regards to modern-day offensive, only to revert back to toss dive and the archaic i-form formation.

He botched the 2012 Bama game by running the f'ing wildcat on 4th and one which would have iced the game. Everyone knew in the stadium it was a run straight up the gut because it was the same exact play with Spencer Ware that was ran time and time again.

Too much to write about his terrible decisions that sometimes worked out for him. Great ambassador for the program. Overrated coach.

man I’d be good if O was overrated. A national championship, 2 national chamionship appearances, sec titles, New Year’s Day bowl wins. I’d love to have another overrated coach have les miles LSU record.

The storm is over, good brothers. The Fulton news is a sign from the heavens.

The clouds have parted, and the sun is shining bright upon LSU Football once again.

Welll-written assessment and I agree with your post, except the quoted line. I want to see what they can do this season. They made the right moves IRT recruiting, transfers, and coaching/consulting staff additions. Let's GEAUX!

This. It is just bad luck. One day, possibly soon, this WILL end. And we will be there to see it.

9-3 and a bowl game …. I'd except that with the schedule we have.

Oh, the 2011 LSU team was clearly the best regular season ever. They didn't just beat everyone, but nearly all the games were laughers. And the strength of schedule was #1 in the nation.

The only problem was that Bama had a team that was just as freakishly good. Their regular season results were arguably as impressive. Really that year there were only two title contenders.

If OSU hadn't been upset by Iowa State it would have been LSU vs. OSU for the title and the Tigers would have had another crystal ball.

rest assured i am desperately hoping to be wrong. and its not like it hasnt happened before. if im as wrong on this as i was on cam cameron, we're getting rings.

(i was actually starting to be ok with Orgeron until the Ems hire. his recruiting was a colossal disappointment but i can understand that, i can understand how easy it is for other schools to scare kids about O and theres no way to fix that but time. I also thought he did some good things on the field and the players very clearly love him, but we were sold on him as HC under very specific conditions, and the first chance he got he tore those up and told the fans to go frick themselves. Steve Ensminger wouldnt get a look as OC from any team in the top 50, but he was down the hall from O so frick it, lets not even do a search, not one interview, lets just hire him. this is how you get Peveto as DC, not Dave Aranda)
