unfortunately we're denied that legacy we earned because gregg fricking williams watched us practice in the dome then gave Kirby Smart our signals.

The first time we played Bama, the read option surprised them and worked well bc of that. There is NO WAY that Saban was going to let that style of offense beat him again. He had his team completely ready to defend that offense the second time.
maybe, sure, you could be 100 percent right, im just some jackass on a message board who took too much adderall last night, what the frick do i know.

but i dont think that was it.

i go into it more here, but the NCG was the 4th time Jefferson started vs saban, and if Jordan changed as a QB by even 1 percent in his 4 years then I missed it. that first 2011 game wasnt some anomaly, it was the same thing we always did with Jordan, and more often than not (though i have no fricking idea how) that thing somehow worked.

in Jordans 1st game vs bama, in 2009, he went 10 for 17 passing.

in Jordans 4th game vs bama, in 2011, he went 11 for 17.

and people seem to remember us coming out in the NCG and just running up the middle over and over. that is not the case. these were our first 5 possessions; we ran 9 times and threw 10 (Beckham caught 5).

1. Michael Ford rush for 2 yards to the LSU 30.
2. Jordan Jefferson pass complete to Rueben Randle for 6 yards to the LSU 36.
3. Jefferson rush for a loss of 2 yards, fumbled, recovered by LSU at the LSU 34.

1. LSU penalty 5 yard False Start on Alex Hurst accepted.
1. Kenny Hilliard rush for 3 yards to the LSU 19.
2. Jefferson rush for 2 yards to the LSU 21.
3. Spencer Ware rush for no gain to the LSU 21.

1. Jefferson pass complete to Odell Beckham for 8 yards to the LSU 35.
2. Jefferson rush for 6 yards to the LSU 41 for a 1ST down.
1. Jefferson rush for a loss of 1 yard to the LSU 40.
2. Jefferson pass complete to Beckham for 7 yards to the LSU 47.
3. Jefferson pass complete to Alfred Blue for a loss of 3 yards to the LSU 44.

1. Jefferson pass complete to Beckham for 8 yards to the LSU 35.
2. Jefferson rush for 6 yards to the LSU 41 for a 1ST down.
1. Jefferson rush for a loss of 1 yard to the LSU 40.
2. Jefferson pass complete to Beckham for 7 yards to the LSU 47.
3. Jefferson pass complete to Blue for a loss of 3 yards to the LSU 44.

1. LSU penalty 5 yard False Start on Alex Hurst accepted.
1. Jefferson pass complete to Beckham for no gain to the LSU 20.
2. Jefferson pass complete to Randle for 8 yards to the LSU 28.
3. Jefferson pass incomplete to Ware.

its not as if we werent trying to get the ball to our players, we were, but when the defense is meeting our guys at their spots, waiting for them, thats a problem.

a lot of those runs by Jefferson was because his pitch option was already swarmed. Ware, Hillard, and Ford combined for 7 rush yards in the first half.

in the regular season game they had 55 in the first.

so kirby smart either rolled an 11 forty times in a row that night, or it was something else.

Miles' record speaks for itself In Miles' last full season, which he got fired for, his winning percentage was better than Orgeron's best season ever.

And now the Yaw Yaw cheerleaders want us to believe that 7-5 is acceptable. Like the Lou Tepper 5 year plan. “Just wait. You’ll see.”

yeah saban's coaching. saban takes away your top options or tries to and makes you beat him with others.

maybe if we had implemented all the different schemes we practiced for over a month and not resorted back to the same shite gameplan we could have made it a game.

GW did not face speed options in the NFL and saban did not need his help for stopping that.

I don’t really care too much either about his time at ole miss.
Ole miss isn’t/wasn’t LSU in terms of resources and talent.

Not to mention Ed has stated numerous times he’s not same man or coach he was then as he is now.

People mature.
Coaches mature.
It’s been 10 years. Get over it.

Just as a discussion point, is it out of bounds to consider his time at Ole Miss since he made the same mistake at LSU with Canada as he did with his OC at Ole Miss? Has he actually proved that he's changed or matured as you say as a coach?

I have no doubt that it's possible for him to change. I really hope he's learned from that and that these new coaches work out this year.

thats my point exactly. saban didnt need help, he sure as hell didnt need help from greg williams, so why was there a meeting, what was there to talk about, what did williams have that saban didnt?

Thank you for the post. The negative fan base needs to understand it takes time for a coach to get his players and philosophy in place. After 3 years if this experiment doesn’t work as in no progression then it’s time to make a change. The players who chose LSU are representing our state some of us in TD need to do a better job of supporting them.

I only agree with you in this context: that 2018 is Ed’s year 3. You have to count the interim in that case.

But he’s the one that pitched continuity and immediately competing. It’s not unfair at all to hold him to that.

I agree with that, but what is considered “competing” to some of our negative fan base since it’s due to a subjective point of view?

don't need to talk about ole miss to talk about UF 2016, Miss state 2017, Syracuse 2017, and Troy 2017.
