The 4th and 1 playcall blew me away

We haven't seen a playcall like that since 2019. That was certainly not on my radar at all. You think you're watching a play and considering all options, but over the top on 4th and 1 with a wildcat shift, when you have a proven short yardage guy in Dilin Jones is not something I had considered.

That makes future 4th and 1 conversions easier and that is why we wanted Kiffin.

I was yelling at the tv when they lined up cause I thought they were going to run that same shite when everyone knows what it is. When Sam started creeping back behind center I started getting excited. That play was cool against Clemson because it was the first game and it was new, but we have to stop using it some much. Cost us points against OM.

Every good playcaller has a twist on his bread and butter plays. You should expect to see that formation with at least two or three more variations.

They have been setting that played up all season. Every time it was called the RB ran straight up the gut. I thought for sure Kiffin would have used a variation against Ole Piss last week on the goal line where Jones was stopped for no gain and they kicked the FG to tie it up.

That play will open up other 4th down calls.
Linebackers will have to react vs stuffing a run.
DCs won’t know what to do when you have a running qb that can pass and an Rb.
Is slot a decoy?

That was the Kiffin I was excited to see at LSU.
I’m ok with him taking some risks if it helps LSU get its swagger. Players love that shite, too.
