I said the same thing to my friends last night when it happened. First time I feel like we finally saw the Lane Kiffin we paid so much money for.

Honestly, it looks like Kiffin over coached the offense especially Leavitt as well took a conservative game plan into the Ole Miss game.

There's no doubt Kiffin & Weis stressed to Leavitt that need to protect the ball against Ole Miss after his red zone picks against LA Tech. On top of that, the offensive game plan possibly was less aggressive to not put Leavitt in those situations. While understandable after the Tech game, the negative is that it could caused Leavitt to not be aggressive & actually fearful to attempt certain throws like we saw against Ole Miss. Kiffin & Weis went with a more aggressive passing game plan against A&M & Leavitt showed much improvement with the trust of the coaches.

Kiffin openly took responsibility for the first half conservative defensive game plan against Ole Miss. Yet like a good coach does, Kiffin made adjustments & coaching decisions going into the Texas A&M game. They built Leavitt's confidence back up while coaching him up to improve off his prior mistakes from the two previous games. Kiffin also allowed Baker to go back to more aggressive game plan that had been used in the first two wins.

Those are great signs. Kiffin is showing growth which is great for the program & us as fans. Notice how he hasn't gone for the risky 4th downs in his own territory like he did at Ole Miss.

I expected Lane to do some off the wall stuff during the season but I was not expecting that one either.

Mullen ran that on us in 2017 on 3rd down. Pissed me off.
