If a player has eligibility left and doesn’t make a regular season nfl team, why are you so adamant that they shouldn’t be able to return to college?

It’s amazing (and predictable) how loud and wrong you are. Nobody is crying about NIL money, but thanks for fighting that imaginary battle. The issue isn't 'getting paid'—it's signing an NFL contract and entering a professional league. A transfer moves within the NCAA system during regulated windows. An NFL cut is a pro dropout trying to treat LSU as a safety net in late August after failing a tryout. If you can't grasp the difference between a college transfer window and a professional waiver wire, you shouldn't be calling anyone else dumb.
Imagine comparing an NFL training camp contract to a standard college transfer and thinking you just did something smart. Go email Greg Sankey and tell him he's an idiot who can't argue his way out of a paper bag since he just banned exactly what you're crying for. I’m sure he’ll change the rule just for you. You need to sit this one out. You would be screaming from the rooftops if Wright planned to go back to Ole Miss, and even your flea brain knows it.

I understand the difference. YOU are the one who pointed out that we should all clutch our pearls because a person being paid by another organization may come into our program and take a spot of another person who's been getting paid longer by our program, which is the same thing that happens with every transfer. Your logic holds no water.

I'm not comparing contracts, baw. I'm comparing what you said vs reality.
Sanky IS an idiot. The NCAA and SEC's position in this will not hold up in court.
I don't care either way if we have these players on our roster or not. And I would have no issues with these players going back to Ole Miss or any other school. I think they got screwed royally by the NCAA's timing of the rule change and do deserve a 5th year. I do believe they will get it eventually too.

So it matters what rule you break. He’s out of eligibility. The NCCAA denied his medical redshirt therefore he’s ineligible based on the rules. But his TRO makes him exempt from the rule. Therefore allowing him to compete and not others with TROs you are selectively choosing what TROs you are allowing kids to play on and which ones you don’t. I’m not saying the new rule should affect Chambliss. I’m saying that the SEC doesn’t seem to care he’s breaking a rule while moving heaven and earth to make sure kids breaking another rule don’t play.

So he realized after joining an NFL team and participating in practices and preseason games that he was not gonna cut it, then he went back and asked for a college second chance?
