Yet you constantly have posts very similar to the first one in this thread.

They won the game. I’m good.

You started a thread about Lsu scoring 25 points, not about winning the game.

I’m not acting like the coaching staff murdered my kitten for 9 months. Because rest assured, that’s what most of you will be doing until kickoff next year.

No, instead you’ll be whining about people saying not nice things about the Lsu coaching staff for 9 months.

Or even better, you’ll have another round of telling people it won’t make any difference that they didn’t renew their season tickets again next year because Lsu won’t have any problem selling them to other people, only to then throw another bitchfit at people that didn’t renew their tickets when it comes out that renewal numbers are way down and there is no longer a waiting list.

Or something equivalent in nature, etc.

I don't understand the fans who are okay with 100th + ranked offenses. Complacency and apathy towards the offense is why the administration / coaching staff feels like they can get away with status quo.

I don't think its apathy, but just most fans who are not overly critical are hoping for progress/improvement based on some flashes this year. UGA and Miami and at times the Auburn and Florida games all showed some solid offense, but this team needs to improve scheme against teams with good defensive fronts and improve the play along the offensive line. If those two things happen, LSU will be more consistent and show a respectable offense. With the returning talent (unless a lot of players make bad decisions regarding the draft) If this progress doesn't happen next year, I will be in the same boat as all of the negative fans regarding potential for this coaching staff to make improvement.

Anyone who is okay with this season with an 8th straight loss to bama (0 points scored, at home, etc) and a loss to fla (should have won) and tamu is either 1) accepting mediocrity and accepting that LSU is no longer competitive as a top tier program or 2) fooling themselves

I really cant say enough about how big the Auburn win was. We beat them and infected them with the same sickness so many posters here suffer from. Now they hate their coach a year removed from a big extension and a trip to the SEC title game. Served their fanbase a huge slice of misery to enjoy for years to come.

No it’s 12 total.

4 teams in playoffs
12 teams in NY6 bowls.

4+12=16

you only have to be top 16 to be in a NY6 game

They beat LSU for the first time since 1994. That is worth something I would assume.

Great season.

Totally agree we had a good season, but just like I can't stand to hear unnecessary criticism of our coach every week I can't thank a coach for doing what he should be doing. We got the Fiesta bowl, we've had a good season with the chance to win 10. LSU should be in a good bowl, we've done it 18 years in a row now, but In no way should we be thanking anyone until we get in the playoffs.

Naw, there’s only 12 teams in NY6 bowls. Playoffs are 2 of the 6 NY6 bowls.

In the BCS era, there were only 4 BCS bowls, 8 teams.

0-29 was special wasn't it?

The offense this season was often a loaded gun to the head of the defense. The defense was on the field, what, 100 plays or so?

Three decent drives by the offense possibly takes 10 points off Bama's total. If we score on two of them the score at some point is 19-10 or 19-14 and a win is in reach. Our defense played its heart out IMO. Unfortunately so did Bama's. And our offense had no solution.

If going by that criteria, we played in a "playoff" bowl in 2013.

Many other schools would like to be 9-3.
Also, even with the FL loss, we should be 10-2 and the FL loss would not have happened if our great WRs could catch the ball.
...much work needed there.
Coaches coach, but players have to execute.
