I would assume the broke dick school.

Damon Talley
Director of Bands

Simon Holoweiko
Associate Director of Bands
sholow1@lsu.edu

Everyone please bombard these men with emails, calls, and nag until they and their bean counters succumb to the power of TD.

Have they announced which regular season game they will bring the full band to yet?

Apparently none. Pep band only for road games.

I don't believe that's confirmed. Pep band for sure in the rest of the road games, but i don't believe its 100% they won't be sending the full band to one.

Though it does appear a distinct possibility.

Talley despises Tiger Band. This is what happens when you take the marching band out from under the athletic department and give control to the School of Music. Also, why is Kelvin Jones still directing Tiger Band? He was supposed to be interim director only. I guess the nationwide search for a new director was a sham.

Neck would be epic in the L.A. Coliseum.

Yep. Especially when the game is going on across town at the Rose Bowl.

I’m a TGBFTL Alum from the 80’s.

It’s shameful how poorly LSU has been treating the band for quite a few years. The band needs to start defending themselves from this university administration that could care less about tradition.

I’m very disappointed.

How much money will LSU football make this year?? You're not sending the band for a rare Rose Bowl appearance to represent LSU and for the likely 10,000+ LSU fans that are buying tickets and going? Now that they know the Rose Bowl is going 100% capacity, they should make it happen.

If they have learned anything from the COVID year, they should know by now how to make changes on the fly.

It's the right decision, although not the popular one.

The economic and logistical concerns are quite apparent, but also the decision related to health. That Delta variant is spreading rampantly. I'm really surprised the game will be played (supposedly) at full capacity.

Changes are forthcoming. The Delta variant will likely be the game winner.

Simple answer here…hire the pep band from USC to go as the Tiger band. Then we can hear Neck and Tusk all game long. Not a bad compromise IMO.

But the decision was made two months ago, back when there were still logistical questions. The Rose Bowl hadn't announced yet that it was 100% capacity.

But now it is 100% capacity and their decision needs to be reevaluated.

May as well keep the field goal team in BR to save money. I am sure the 1st string offense and defense can fill the positions and make due.

This should surprise nobody who has been paying attention. After the violent takeover of Tigerband a few years ago they ousted everyone who actually loves the band and wants to see it do well and replaced the leadership with a bunch of POS Yes men who don't care about the band and won't spend the money needed to keep the band successful

Very sad to see the current state of Tiger Band
