Hire the staff from coastal Carolina
May want to wait and see if they don't get bounced from the CWS first

what exactly do you love about Bianco?
I like his style. I love his offensive strategies way more than paul. he's a "big ball" offensive coach. more like skip. he's an alumni. he has been successful at ole miss. I'd imagine that he would be hugely successful here as well. not sure why he wouldn't be.
what do you not like about his style?

I've heard that Tony Robicheaux is having issues with ULL and is not signing his contract extension...if Maneri leaves bring Coach Robicheaux. Great coach imo.

A dude that's coaching at his alma mater and taking that team to the CWS for the first time since he was a player at said school (I think)?
Highly doubtful he'd leave.

LSU should tell PM to man up, shut up or GTFO...

I'd be sad to see Paul go. Say what you want about him, but he brought in a home run pitching coach hire, knew he needed to change hitting coordinators and got a stud in Cannizaro. LSU overachieved this year with so many new players. He may rub people the wrong way sometimes but I don't mind his style of coaching.

No he didn't. He's the head coach of LSU baseball which has the most money, the best stadium and atmosphere in the country, along with being one of the only programs in the country with a legitimate argument as to why a kid should sign and play at LSU rather than going pro after getting drafted in the 5th-15th rounds out of high school. LSU has so many advantages over the field that you can't even list them all
Our program is the pinnacle of college baseball and to say that he "overacheived" when our recruiting never should've dropped off to the point that we're paper thin and getting skullfricked by Stony Brook and CCU to begin with is a joke. We can do better than Mainieri. I know that there's a LOUD vocal minority on this website who have probably never picked up a baseball past age 14, but everyone that I know who actually played baseball and talk to in real life agrees that he guy isn't that great and he's leading our program into the shitter
Considering how many people on this board want to fire Miles (which is a huge, huge, huge gamble and could completely wreck our program), why would we care if we lost a baseball coach whose only recent accomplishments are winning 45 games a year mainly due to perpetually weak scheduling and going deep into the SEC tournament, which isn't an accomplishment considering the fact that most teams who already have national seeds locked up don't really try in the SEC tournament. I can guarantee that there isn't a single tiger rant baseball genius who sucks Mainieri off daily who can actually begin to say what his strengths and weaknesses are technically as a coach
But "parity"!!!!!!!!!! Because small schools like Wichita State, Cal st. Fullerton, Pepperdine have never been good at baseball right? Random small schools have always been competitive when the supers roll around. Not to mention the fact that in recent years, the MLB draft is absolutely gutting college baseball of all of its talent. NCAA baseball has never been weaker than it is right now and we should be able to capitalize on being one of the only schools who can actually draw kids away from the MLB draft. But let's continue to ignore all of these things and feel lucky that we have a coach who can beat the piss out of Southern and Grambling at the beginning of each season before he actually has to face good coaching and gets BTFO

Texas does have the checkbook.

Just hire someone that doesn't publicly throw players under the bus. Only thing about CPM I don't like or understand.

I'm talking about program income. Which I'm sure I'm right about, last time I checked we were the only baseball program to go in the black each year and actually make money for our university. And if we're not the only one that goes into the black then we definitely go the deepest into it

So usually if a coach of Mainieri's status officially acknowledges he interviewed for another job doesn't that mean he has really already accepted that job?

His one CWS appearance in 16 years as a coach at Ole Miss. He has all the resources and talent to be elite but continuously shits the bed when it matters.

3-2 against the current #1 team
Posted on 6/16/16 at 12:53 pm to More beer please
Ok? Great job. We beat Florida, a team who we match up well against, in a series where they burned their best pitcher in a rainout and then beat them in the SEC tournament while they were playing for absolutely nothing because they were already a national seed. Guess Mainieri is good for another 5 years because he led lowly LSU to a 3-2 record against the mighty Gators right?
