Texas- Why Did You Make This So Sweet?

Dear Texas,
Like most Tiger fans, I’m still basking in the afterglow of Saturday nights win. I’ve got to admit- so much of the “extra sweetness” to this win is because of YOU. Let’s count the ways:
1. You’re BACKKKKK
It’s all we have heard all off season. The Ehlinger clip from the Sugar Bowl. The comments about dominating Georgia. The SI covers. Lol- pump the brakes. Pretty sweet to put all that shite to rest.
2. You Sat Us In Outer Space
Really? Only 3000 tickets and all of them, including our pep band were in the upper deck? Wow. I bet that whole stadium could hear us spelling out T-I-G-E-R-S TIGERS with the band after third and 17 tho. Oh man- next year is gonna be sweet.
3. Matthew McConaughey
The whole “minister of culture” thing is over the top. Seeing him be the only one to pick UT, make a fool of himself by trying to rip Mike’s head off Corso, only to get a PRICELESS meme of him saying “f*ck” when we go up 2 scores? So sweet.
4. DBU
Oh now here is where it starts getting extra sweet. You guys printed shirts to wear claiming DBU, and then wore them before both games to start the season. I wonder if the DBs will even be allowed to warm up in those again? Glad our class was too full for Caden Sterns because seeing him flop around like a rag doll when he had a chance to make a game saving tackle was pretty... sweet.
5. It’s Just a BigXII Offense
Heard this all week from Horn fans. At least now you realize that Collin Johnson wouldn’t be in the top 3 of the WR group at LSU. Watching Burrow connect with Chase... Jefferson... Marshall... over and over was sweet.
6. No AC in the locker room?!
I can’t believe it. This is the kind of low-down, no-good stuff you’d expect from some despicable assholes. I don’t know if all the cramps were legit or not, but once I heard this? Oh man, it made it even sweeter.
7. Arrogance
It all boils down to this. Texas- you were TOO BIG FOR YOUR DAMN BRITCHES WITH ALL OF THIS shite. You talked a huge game in so many different ways on so many different levels and backed it up 0%. Feeding the entire state of Texas a slice of humble pie was SO SWEET.

While reading this, I was like hear we go.. then I started to agree with all your points... until you downplayed their receivers.
We won and all, but their receivers did contribute to over 400 yards of receiving.. that was the only point I disagreed with.

I'm also still basking, believe me. But this was a high intensity matchup between two Top 10 team both currently and arguably all-time. This was a good game. It will be a good game next year.
I am glad we don't play them every year, because it would be a battle. I'm also glad we don't play them every year because it's for exactly that reason the stakes were so high.
This was a good football team we beat with a legitimately high-powered offense. I will admit, higher powered than I thought. Ehlinger made some throws that kept them in the game, especially in the 4th.
I look forward to next year.

We just beat a very good team, in their stadium, with the highest rated TV audience of the day. Why down play them? Wouldn’t it be better to claim a win over a very good team?

Most of those make no sense
DBU- stingley and Fulton looked like nfl cbs. Delpit didn’t have a great game. Our d wore down as a whole but the dbs were way better than ut’s.
LSU offense- ????is the talk of college football????

Drinking water - you mean drinking water after coming out to the field from a dressing room with no air on a 100degree day????
Arrogance- ????? I don’t even know what this means. Our fans were 100% in prove it mode with this offense.
Herman chooses Texas - yep they got the douchebag. Hugh freeze and Bobby Petrino are amazing offensive coaches too.

They would make sense....if Texas won. Not saying it's right, just saying that it would hold just as much water if the roles were reversed.

I didnt hear one fan say they were back or whatever. Most I talked to wish the media wouldn't say that, some just weren't sure if they were going to win, just hoping for a good game. I think more Texas people like O than our own fans.
