Sorry apparently when they blow a huge lead because of a couple errors we’re lucky
when they win a game because we walked 4 guys, gave up and error that would have ended the inning and then after that gave up a home run it’s because they’re a really good team.
Imagine if we used Evans tonight and he gave up 6 runs what yours be saying about tomorrow.

Agreed. LSU was very lucky in game one after being dominated for 8 1/2 innings and were obviously dominated the entire game 2. Never even close. They appear to be the better team across the board.

It wasn’t a miracle. And maybe you didn’t catch the 21 or so strike outs our pitching got.
We walked and HBP too much last night true but JJ didn’t use his best bullpen.

If you put some serious money down on rubber game Sunday who would you pick?

If not for their miracle seventh LSU might be going for the sweep.

This. They are so caught up on the final scores
Well yeah
I’ve grown to appreciate the levity you guys who can’t shake the football mindset, bring to this place during baseball season.

Outside of one fluke inning, LSU has gotten it’s shite pushed in for 2 straight games.
Retard. You take away Tenn biggest inning and it’s 3-3 game. This is such a stupid statement

I thought Tennessee was pretty lucky for most of last night's game. They scored two runs in the 4th by getting three consecutive bloop hits. And that was all they had until the 7th, so that was very frustrating. Then we just gave up by bringing anyone but Cowan or Evans into the game. I don't like saying it, and I know they can't pitch every game, but you just can't trust anyone else.
If you're going to make that decision to punt that game last night, by hoping for a different result from guys who haven't been reliable, then no one but Cowan or Evans should touch the ball on the mound today. Cowan threw all of 12 pitches or so, and has had a day off now, and Evans, of course, hasn't pitched yet. So let's not get cute and try to bridge the gap. Both of these guys have gone 3 or 4 innings many times this year, and Cowan was a starter before he got here, and could probably get us through 5 of those innings today.
If those guys don't have it, for any reason, you live with it. But there's no reason to mess around with anyone else.
I just do not understand how every year, we get worse at throwing strikes. I've followed baseball, and college baseball, for a pretty long time now, and it was never like this. We had good staffs, decent staffs, and even bad staffs. But never do I ever remember any LSU staff being as inept at simply throwing the ball over the plate, as this team has been since Jay got here. I know it can't possibly be true, but it's almost like there is no emphasis placed on command, and we're just working with guys on how to throw the ball as hard as possible. We had enough guys step up in '23 to make it work in the end (and an offense that didn't disappear), but we didn't have enough the other years, and we're still waiting on someone else to step up this year.
Jay's first year didn't have very good starting pitching, but had a fair amount of guys who were at least competitive out of the pen. Still way too many walks, though, and it just gets worse every year. I guess I'm rambling to myself now. It's just frustrating to watch this play out again and again.

They’ve out-hit us 2 to 1 on our own field for two days
It’s that simple. They’re just better. They can produce twice as much offense and their pitchers can shut us down at twice the rate.

UTI is average when they aren't playing little league dimensions.
