So cool!

Let's take one player off Tenn right now and see how it goes.

Series is likely tied 1-1 and both teams are neck and neck right now, but let's melt about programs. Never mind the fact both have won the last two Natties. So tired of seeing LSU fans somewhat discredit 2023 over one great player yet other teams can have a great elite player and nobody discredits them. How's Tenn this year without Liam? Didn't they just recently lose 2 SEC series?

Also, really glad LSU won the CWS series against Florida without ever needing Skenes.

I don't think they do. I think the two rosters are almost identical down the line. And the two teams have the same SEC record and pretty much the same overall record and RPI. Neither are great. Texas is the only team with a great record. I don't really think they're that great either. We dominated them for a game and a half. I think college baseball is a lot like college football was this year-- wide open. A lot of good teams. No great ones. Whoever gets hot in June will win. I'll predict it won't be an SEC team. 5 straight is a lot to keep going and there is no dominant team.

I think they just have better development at this time.

We have the best roster in college baseball imo.

Don’t all teams get worse if you take a good player away? That’s a dumb argument

Who have they “developed”

It’s mainly portal transfers

With only four pitchers that can throw strikes and half a lineup that hopes for a bunt hit?

The middle of their lineup is much better than ours.

This is true

Tony > Jay

Nobody wants to concede that but it’s reality

Maybe. But I think it's premature to conclude that. So much baseball left to be played.

As of recent, Jones, Milam, and Frey/Pearson have all been slumping. Yes, there are exceptions here-n-there but no consistent production at the plate from this group. That can change.

The second big factor is the bullpen. Other than Cowan and Evans, it is a crapshoot. If a couple step up, this team can win it all.

80% of this board would disagree with you. I’m not one of them.

Other than 1 inning, Tennesee has dominated this series

Not true. Other than two 6-1 innings (one for each team), it’s 5-2 in the other 16 innings. That’s not dominating.

at some point lsu fans hate every coach in every sport. why not find the good in our coaches instead of criticizing coaches that aren't going anywhere anytime soon

I get bashing a coach if things are coming out like we had with late term O, other coaches were having to tell him he was using only one defense or he wasn't even interviewing assistants, I get that.

I don't get bashing coaches just because message board posters believe they're smarter than these guys though, especially when the coach has a demonstrated history of success.
