Seriously though, it would be really fun for the guys to hit that 30 or so game mark and have under 10 losses. Anything can happen after that.

You mean in the SEC? 20-10 would be a good SEC regular season

Because if we don’t hit the 30 game (all games including non conference) mark at 20-10, that’s a failure

It’s still gonna take some time to figure out the pitching roles and your best weekend starters along with which order to throw them by sec play

While LSU baseball is my favorite sport and I follow it more than 90% of you on this board I don't think people realize how damn good the league will be this year. I love the passion and excitement but damnit we are going to lose 10-15 games this year no matter how good you think we are going to be. The league is too stacked. I know in paper we are the preseason favorites but baseball is different. I think this team will be incredible but anyone thinking we roll straight to Omaha without some serious bumps along the way are just not realistic about much of anything. I will be disappointed if they don't get to Omaha this year more than most years. I had to post this bc I see way too many unrealistic expectations for this team.

If you win 50 + in baseball, you've done something.

I follow baseball more than 92% of you on this board. Anything less than 25-5 in the SEC is a huge disappointment.

Yeah, looking at the schedule, you are correct. 3or4 losses max in the first 30.

I absolutely will not temper my expectations.
Unreasonable fandom {on} off

This team has everything at least on paper. The most intimidating hitting lineup in the NCAA. Elite pitching. Good fielding.

Let’s be excited as hell!

This cat is correct. There will be many bumps in the road for this team. They’ll be good but not Bertman-good

The biggest difference between this team and any of the teams under Bertman isn’t the talent on LSU’s roster. It’s the talent of the opponents.

Are you serious? We lose 10-15 games this year with the majority coming in conference would be a huge disappointment for this team….

Can you explain how you quantify this percentage?

Super curious how you know this
