AS of a few minutes ago, it is looking like Tebow will be cleared. Cool it with the false rumors.

The article starts with:

quote:

A lot can happen between today and Saturday night against LSU. Tim Tebow will be monitored until kickoff and beyond. Tebow could have a bad practice today with further setbacks. And Urban Meyer said the final decision likely won't be made until "the foot hits the ball" in Tiger Stadium.

So anyone with a 7th grade reading comprehension can see that it's still very much up in the air.

I think if this were true, the term "subdural hematoma" would have surfaced by now.

Tebow's parents will not let him play. Urban and Tim want to and Dr. Pete will clear him. Mom and Dad say no.

Tebow is NOT going to play. I wish the sportsbooks had odds on this.

Personally I don't think he plays, or that he trots out for one play just to mess with us. Tebow is not Florida's best chance at winning anyway. All the crap yesterday about brain bleeds had to stop.

Article in the local paper today (yeah, even in S.E. Alaska the game is big, was a national feed though in the local) said a in order to play, a fella would need one week of being symptom free in order to be cleared.

Teebow will not play saturday. It is a lawsuit waiting to happen

So, you know the correct amount of time he needs before he plays???

Should he not play next week because it's a lawsuit waiting to happen?

What about the week after???

You simply don't know.

I think one thing people are missing is the fact this could easily turn into a PR nightmare for the university of Florida. There is no way IMO the athletic department would want to run the risk of being charactrized as the program that destroyed the college football GOAT.

Again, who is the end all be all correct opinion on when it's ok for him to get out there?

Why would it be ok for him to play 3 weeks later(next week) or 2 weeks later(this week).

We don't know the facts close enough to know.

Actually, yes, there is a chance in hell this is true. (And yes, I have worked in neurosurgery for 20 years)
Appreciate your experience.
I'm guessing you were trying to point out that delayed subdural hematoma following a CHI with negative CT and w/u is possible. It is. It is rare, but possible.
However, there is nothing whatsoever to even remotely indicate that is the situation here. Is there?

Think.
How many delayed subdural patients are diagnosed yet then are cleared to dress out in football pads for a full noncontact afternoon practice inclusive of windsprints?
Answer: None.
Let's suppose after said practice, Tim showed focal signs and underwent further testing demonstrative of SDH.
How many patients in those circumstances would be discharged from care to wander the halls of an athletic dorm?
Answer: None.
Would you not suspect instead that, with a dx of SDH 10days s/p CHI, he would have been admitted for in-house evaluation, close obs, and probable drainage?

Now, with those considerations and with your experience, does it really sound like there's a chance in hell Tebow has "bleeding on the brain"?
