Take Freeze and Urban off the table

These (and baby Briles) would be removed from the list as potential candidates before the ink is dry. Not happening with Title IX looming.

Do you know this to be a fact or are you assuming? I don’t give a shite if he kills babies puppies for sport, Freeze would be a fricking force at LSU.

It’s not necessarily a “fact” per se, it’s just common sense given the current Title9/NCAA circumstances at LSU.
Any coach with baggage related to women isn’t getting the job.
We pretty much all like Freeze and Urban and we all know they would both probably kill it at LSU, but reality is reality, and neither will even be considered for the job.

If everything is so bad, why is Verge still employed? If keeping Verge then Freeze is hireable.

I think his point is for everyone to quit cluttering the Rant with topics about Freeze and Urban.
We all know fans don’t control the hire, but a lot of our fans don’t realize what’s going on off the field that makes Freeze and Meyer a no-go at LSU. It’s not about wanting or not wanting them, that’s irrelevant because neither hire has a chance of happening given the circumstances at LSU.

Obviously it's speculation.
But if we fire O for cause it's going to be Title IX. We could hire Briles, Freeze, or Meyer, but then O is going to lawyer up and say he wasn't really fired for cause. We hired a replacement with similar baggage.
So it becomes a lot more expensive to get rid of O.

From what I can comprehend (which is very little), there are a substantial number of feminists who support sex work so long as the sex worker has agency and is not being exploited. I don't think there has ever been a discussion of whether Freeze's hookers were victims or entrepreneurs.
I think the Baylor stuff is bad enough (in conjunction with Miles-LSU stuff) to prevent Briles, Jr. from being considered. I think the Zack Smith issue and CUM's identical response to his latest issue take him off the table. But, I'm for giving Freeze a chance.

I think you need to separate the 2. Urban is the one that was accused of covering up similar stuff at tOSU. Also the recent video is a bad look, but might make him want a new landing spot. Being a home run hire and the only guy in Saban's league would outweigh his past that has never quite caught up with him.
Freeze's issue was recruiting violations and he pretty much got black balled by the SEC offices, which seems to be the biggest hurdle to overcome. But he's kept his nose clean for a few years and is ripe for a comeback. If we dont hire him this year, somebody else will.

But a lot of fans and folks in power do care and that's why they won't be hired. Include the has been, Petrino in that group. There will also be a hesitancy to hire Kiffin, too because he is such a loose cannon. He also doesn't seem to have much interest in having a shut down defense to go with his innovative offense. We gotta have a good D.
