There is no separate issue and no matter how much of a home run hire both would be LSU isn’t touching either with the current situation at the school. They have pulled in and are negotiating with the FEDS (Not NCAA) on this Title IX stuff.
The LA Legislatures fund LSU and will pressure this if SWW would be stupid to try. SWW is a hell of a lot smarter and more politically savvy than that.
His aspirations is for much higher positions and will not screw that up by trying to bring in a coach with a shady past while the microscope is directly on his program and the university as a whole.

It's the same reason LSU won't try to cheapskate Orgeron should he be fired. He'll sit around and wait for his millions in payments.

You wish. The problem are the NCAA Violations and character clauses in Orgeron’s contract that were put there by Alleva after Miles shite. Basically they say that if O or an assistant is caught in an ncaa violation it is For Cause. LSU self imposed bowl ban and scholarship reductions at the end of last season. Why? Also, Cregg was fired for NCAA Violations to head off worse penalties.
Then there’s the in bed pics, alleged videos and other stuff. Don’t forget RTWFU that went viral. If you don’t think all of that matters, you’re wrong. I’m pretty sure he will get about 7 over 5 years to keep quiet in a non compete clause and and attorney client privileged settlement agreement (which I don’t know if that is possible for a state employee and public university).

You dont keep him on through now then fire with cause. You fire immediately like with Freeze, Pruitt, etc.
