Put up your share of his buyout then.

He didn't hire Kelly. Why does he have to pay Kelly's buyout?

Where do you tards come from? That is not what he is saying

He absolutely lit into BK because he is not beholden to him anymore

He also understands reality that you people don't: We cannot afford to pay 53 million plus staff buyouts plus NIL plus a new coach

It will not happen

So bring him back one more year which will probably be worse than this season, and save about 10 million.

You're starting to get it

It won't be 1 year, it will be multiple years. LSU is not paying that buyout until it gets to 20-30 AT BEST. They will just dump more money into players instead

LSU doesn’t have the built in advantages it’s enjoyed in the past,

Although true due to NIL, LSU still does have some nice advantages for in-state talent with a number of guys simply wanting to play in Tiger Stadium due to growing up here. BK is making the job harder than it has to be though with making clearly bad coordinator decisions and sticking with them too long.

Who did he work for? What company wanted to keep access to the football program?

this is going to be Woodward’s legacy, just look at the Matt McMahon debacle, McMahon should have been fired last season. The sports media has picked us to finish 15th , which is probably right. We should have a new basketball coach in place but now fans will have to suffer through another terrible season with another rebuild on the way

You can forget about any MBB changes with what is on the horizon with football. They will have to save every penny. They might as well just shut the MBB program down.

NIL and transfer portal has truly expanded the playing field. 30-40 schools now think they can compete becuae they have donors with money. Texas Tech Vandy Indiana etc Totally different word. advantages we had in past are somewhat neutralized now

And, thus, the reality of LSU’s potential spot in the NIL era, lagging behind because of the state’s economy, dawns on folks.

It hasn't just dawned on me, its something I have been saying to people long before this season.

They just do not get it. Its not going to happen this year, or next year even.

If Kelly comes back it will be a wasted season. Is that what anyone wants? BK has had 4 years. He has proven he is not going to be more than a 9-3 coach here. He’s our version of Jimbo. Without Jayden Daniels he would have been fired already.

You're probably right but it doesn't change the economic reality

They will fire sloan and hire a new offensive staff.

They will put even more money into NIL

BK will be back the next two years

No sideline announcer is going to roast his head coach. Gordy isn’t doing anything different than his counterparts at Bama, Ole Miss, Ohio State ….

He's passionate about LSU, unlike Brian Kelly.

Why should we put up anything?

We didn't give him the stupid fricking contract to begin with
Why do we have to pay for someone else fricking up?
