I’ll provide my thoughts that nobody asked for…
I think the chant is a little overdone now. I think it would be best in the biggest moments of the biggest games (think LSU taking the lead over Texas A&M in the 4th quarter). With that being said, to all the people complaining because they don’t want their kids to hear it, I would suggest you do one of 3 things:
1) Don’t bring you kids to the game until they are at an age that they can hear stuff like that.
2) Sit in the SEZ where it’s more faint and you can likely explain it away.
3) Tell your kids to cover their ears when the chant starts.
We all know the chant is going to happen at every game, and probably multiple times at a game like Florida. At this point you are willingly exposing your kids to that chant by choosing to take them to a game. Now it’s your job to weigh the pros and cons of that and make a decision whether to go or not. You don’t take your kids to Hooters then complain that there’s half naked girls everywhere, you simply don’t take them to Hooters. If you don’t want your kids to be around drunk people saying vulgar things, you probably shouldn’t take them to and LSU game. Or you should at least try to prevent them from hearing those things.

The rise of STTDB closely mirrors society.
Shows how far we’ve fallen as a society and how desensitized we’ve become to what anyone in a modern society would be appalled at. But because it’s LSU it’s cool. Right?

This is on LSU. Those guys hover right around the stadium selling this trash, and the admin knows but does nothing about it. It’s as disturbing and trashy as the chant. Both need to go.

That's where I was sitting. Southwest corner. Losers were doing it around us.
So yes I'll probably stop bringing my kids, but much more likely, stop attending. I guess you don't realize just how many season ticket holders buy season tickets because it's a family tradition.
Maybe you knuckledraggers will think differently if the family season ticket holders start staying away and it's 60k full.

Maybe. I don’t think 30k people are going to stop going to games because of a chant that has been going on for several years now. But maybe I’m wrong and you’re right, time will tell.

Ruins the experience. How many know it ruins the experience and the embrace it anyway. It’s like flipping the bird in someone’s face. That was my signal that it was time to leave. They want us to leave so fine.

Stop trying to neuter the experience so little Sally and Timmy don’t hear words they are already hearing on the playground at school.
If your little sally or Timmy is hearing about someone else committing unwanted fellatio on a tiger than I suggest you take them to a new playground.

Everyone on this board agreed that the video from the Clemson game the drunk 20 year old flipping off the adult Clemson fan was out of line but somehow support chanting STTDB in front of kids

It's old. Time to move on.

Absolutely. This doesn't represent me for sure. I consider myself an educated man with a Masters Degree. Growing up I was always taught that people that use excessive foul language are uneducated.
There are God fearing people in attendance. Men with their wives and children. They have a right to enjoy the game without listening to that vulgarity.
I hold LSU accountable for this. Those saying it should be escorted out of the game and banned.

2 wrongs don’t make a right. While I say this, I remember what college age kids are listening to. Songs about lubricious female genitals and artist’s whose limited vocabulary results in repeated racial slurs. When my stepson is showering and has his music blaring, it sounds like a Klan rally.

Bring earmuffs & tell them when they get older they can get the full experience, but for now, earmuffs

You people do realize that there are vulgar chants across college campuses at WAYYY more than just LSU right?
I went to the Wisky game at Lambeau. Their band/student section screams “F*ck you” to their “Eat sh*t”

STTDB is lame as hell. Any grown men that actively chants this are fricking nerds. It sounds like a 15 yr old came up with the chant and now you have these retarded fans that are 30+ chanting it like it's a badge of honor. I laugh at those clowns
Posted on 9/17/25 at 9:38 am to clamdip
I don't love it, but I understand the trashy student section (and others) loving it. It's not worse that Tennessee and Bama with their Dixieland Delight version. Every generation wants to be more shocking than the one before.
When you put up the stupid, overused Change My Mind meme, you lost my vote.
