Texas has several dbs (3 or 4) injured since LSU played them.

I'm actually puzzled that Texas is not ranked but Ok State is with the same record.

Texas beat OSU. Texas had close losses to LSU and Oklahoma and a 10 point road loss to TCU who has a winning record. In addition to losing to Texas, OSU got crushed by Baylor and lost to a horrible Texas Tech team.

No way OSU deserves to be higher than Texas.

It was a very good road win. However, Herman has not done us any favors cause his team CANNOT tackle anybody.

All the more to beat them down next year in BR!!!!

Would tOSU have looked "consistently good" against UF, Auburn and at UT? Maybe, maybe not. Injuries have hurt UT, that was still a great win for LSU.

Winning at Texas, vs UF and AU is way more impressive than winning against Mich St, Wisky and Cincy.

That's not how it works. Top 10 win is a Top 10 win.

So if a team is ranked top 10 and takes a nosedive and goes 7-5 you consider that a top 10 win? I don't.

We have a great resume. No reason to get into make believe based on preseason rankings though

Forget ranking, it was a quality road win against a P5 team with 100K watching.

Show me a more impressive NC win than that.

Texas is down about 7 starters on defense. They will be healthier this week after the bye and I expect they win out and end up top 15.

Oh, ok. Because we’ve won all of those in the past. Give me a damn break. Get off our lawn.

So does that mean any ranked team you play during the course of a season doesn't count as a good win if they fall out of the rankings several weeks after you beat them?

Yes

The Texas team we beat then is totally different from the Texas team now. They have been hit extremely hard by the injury bug. 6-8 starters then have missed several games each. If we played them now in Austin, we would probably beat them by 35!!!

we will never know, but part of me thinks LSU 'broke' Texas. in a parallel universe where they play an easier team and win their opener, they are a 1 loss top 10 team right now - having only lost to OU.

having said that, they are definitely not a top 10 team now.

They're down 6 or 7 starters, low morale, the Texas who played vs us at the start of the season is now the same Texas team right now.

They're a top 10 win.
