Yeah it is. We are fricking these guys over with the tests. They have to go. Glen Logan, Tory Carter, anyone suspended for “team violations” hit their third weed strike. I believe that has happened to Arik, combined with stress and thinking he would have Brady and getting Linehan.

However after we have crucified him on top of the stuff he's going through, I can't say I'd blame him

If people are going to blame fans for their reaction (I agree people are being ridiculous), why are former players getting a pass?
The fact is that the reason the former players lashed out is entirely because of O’s statements. He is entirely to blame for every word being spewed against Arik. Maybe he was trying to cover his own arse because of the rumors of the mass defections, but all he did was hurt this kid.
If Gilbert is dealing with issues then I wish him the best of luck on recovery. If this is addiction to freaking weed, then I hope he gets right, but I have no sympathy.
LSU is a mess right now as a football program and it all lays at the feet of O. He is the “leader” and has done very little of that since winning the title last year.
I guess it would have mattered more to me years ago, but LSU as an institution from which I graduated twice has lost my respect in many ways both in academics and athletics.

Well why cant they come out and say hes taking some time, having personal issues and needs to get it sorted out. Please respect his privacy, he will join us when hes ready....seems simple. Dont have to tell his business but didnt have to lie either

Don`t forget this kid was considered the best TE recruit ever. Never wished to be in the limelight and is not a prima donna. Actally the furthest thing from it. Committed to LSU out of the blue. The fact that his mom is in BR assisting him with whatever he is going thru is extremely encouraging.
He deserves everyone`s respect so stop posting stupid crap and let it play out.

There was a quote of a tweet, I think (I don't do Twitter) from Shanahan yesterday on here saying, and I'm paraphrasing, "He's going through a tough time. We're all here for him."
I agree with you that it seems to be something regarding Arik personally. And if that's the case, my prayers go out to the kid.
