He certainly had a better chance than Flott

If I’m supposed to feel sorry for Gilbert because he was looking at a suspension for weed and quit instead, frick that.

How about being a man and not smoking your brains out during the season? Adults with real jobs they want to keep do this.

I also think O should take a stand on this and say Compliance has to stop testing these guys every week. No test, no positive result, no suspension.

Did his girlfriend dump him like Stingley?

I lowkey have a theory they knew that Stingley would get torched too, and chose to sacrifice Flott and Co. rather than hurt Stingley's draft stock...possibly at the request of the Stingley camp.

If I was “going thru shite” I can only imagine I would want to leave it on the field every week, develop my craft, and live in the grind. Not opt out and work through my feelings with my Mom.

Plenty of people go through bad shite and throw themselves into their work or a project.

To act as if only a D1 football player could understand this is dumb. Work is work. Craft is craft.

Chill with the hero worship.

What does that have to do with anything?

It doesn’t. Difference is, I don’t have a God given talent and opportunity at millions. Should I still tell my boss I’m opting out for 1Q2021, so that me and my Mom can talk about how hard my life is?

Being a kid with as much fame and attention as these guys get, along with pressure is a vastly different scenario than you having a long line at the Mcdonalds' drive thru and feeling the pressure.

If you're not well, you're not well.

You're comparing your job, that I assume you get paid to do, to a college freshman going through a rough time in a shitty year? Get some perspective, please.

difference is. I’m not a pampered athlete with a free ride and endless resources. And on the other end of that free ride is a enough money to cover my family for a decade or two if I work hard and have success. talk about privilege.

Meanwhile I worked countless internships for nickels to build a resume so I could get this job that pays me. Never called Momma whining tho about how hard life is.

Yeah, get some perspective

If you’re weak minded or don’t have work ethic, you’re weak minded or don’t have work ethic.

Regardless of working that McD’s drive through or catching passes for a scholarship and potentially millions.

Jesus.

I hope that no one you know ever has a mental health issues.

For their sake, not yours.

EDIT: Just an assumption that this is what’s going on with Gilbert.

I know many people who have had a mental health breakdown including myself, who have gone on to lead productive lives and successful careers.

You sound like you drive a lifted Dodge Ram and think people who aren't tough ole baws are beneath you
