Coach said what he was told by Gilbert. It was the media as well as fakes like you that put a slur and slammed the guy.
Orgeron has repeatedly stated that Gilbert is a fine young man and he hopes he stays at LSU.

These MFers don't give a shite about facts. They are always locked and loaded to vamp on any player who doesn't toe the line. They view the players like race horses. Some probably would be more concerned about a race horse than the players.
A too high percentage of fans' world view is antithetical to the issues affecting the players and become belligerent when current or ex-players support causes that effect the players' or their race. Instead of having the best interests of the players and their families at heart, these fans are actually opposed to those interests. As history has shown time and again racists have always demonized anyone who fights against racism. It's what they do.

All these players leaving with a couple of games left, or Marshall leaving before the Bama game are QUITTERS!!!!!!! 
Opt out was for Covid early in the season, if a player was scared to play and possibly catch Covid. Opting out out anytime after is bullshite and should be called for the term it is- quitting!!!
The NCAA better control this shite as its getting out of hand. Any opt outs need to sit a year just like a transfer, and if you opt out or quit, then you cannot get drafted for 2 years. That will stop this shite. These dudes took someone else's spot who wanted to be on that team and fight with blood, sweat and tears for their team with pride. However, these opting out quitters hijack that team spot and make a mockery of commitment
