Stop Dragging Gilbert through the mud.

When the news broke the other night, I was on here leading the charge to fire Coach O ASAP. I saw this as more evidence of a total meltdown. We thought he was jumping ship because of our program, for greener pastures.
Then Coach O goes on OTB says "His Body hurts" which was the worst thing he could say. It's not really the truth. Coach O was just trying to cover for Gilbert's actual situation. However Coach O is not tactful and is a walking PR nightmare.
Now we have grown arse men, raking a kid through the mud over words that he never came out and said.
If you dig hard enough the truth of situation is on the internet. There is a reason all of ESPN 104.5 walked it back today. When the truth of this gets revealed everyone talking shite will feel pretty terrible.
Gilbert is not in the portal, he is still in BR, and his mom is with him. The kid is truly going through some shite and our fan base is out for blood. Let this play out guys. This never really was about him just wanting to go play for UGA or some shite.
However after we have crucified him on top of the stuff he's going through, I can't say I'd blame him.

O is the one who fricked him by lying and making up something about him being a pussy. If Gilbert was on the fence before, that comment and all the hate that came with it will run him off the team. Good going O.

If there is a good reason that will come out later, then why not say it now. Absent a good reason, everyone will assume there is no good reason and he just quit because he’s soft, selfish, or something like that.

You're the guy that wants to keep handing out participation trophies and switches schools anytime a coach tells you your kid sucks. Arik quit in the middle of the season as a freshman. It's really simple.

It's quite sensitive in nature. So I don't really care what you think. I'm not going to air all his business on the biggest SEC message board in the country.
However I did want to attempt to change the narrative for the sake of the kid.
