Listen to any college player talk about the speed adjustment to the NFL.

Frankly, that is the normal concern, but our skill position players practice against each other and, except for the inside backers, they're all NFL ready, right now.

I would be most concerned about OL vs DL on both sides of the ball - putting our 18 to 22 year olds against the grown arse men of even the Bengals OL and DL would be the diceyist proposition, down-to-down, IMHO.

Actually, I checked and the stat was correct...... so no, stats don't lie.
Mond was 10/30 (33.33%), and the other 3 were a notch below 50%. That can’t equal 30%.

Nobody was going to stop us there year.

Something you baws better not tell ANY Bama fans - Bama (with Tua) was the second best team in 2019. Once we got past them, I knew that nobody could stop us if we were reasonably healthy on defense, the OL and Joe was upright.

This. Bama had been the monkey on our back for 8 seasons. That volcano was building up. Once we got past them, we were going to be stopped.

63-140 for 45%

Not sure where the 203 attempts came from. That’s 50 per game on average lol

if you add the 63 and the 140 you get 203. looks like someone forgot to clear the memory in the calculator.

I believe someone only used starting QB stats as well. I added in the handful of attempts by OU's Rattler, and Tx A&M's Foster.

Thought it would be fun to juxtapose those numbers to Burrow’s in those games. These are Burrow’s numbers only, who didn’t play in the 4th quarter in either the A&M or OU games:

23/32 352 3 0
28/38 349 4 0
29/39 493 7 0
31/49 463 5 0

111/158 1,657 19 0

This was in less than 14 quarters of work. This stat line was a typical season for LSU QBs in the past. And all 4 defenses were good, with UGA and Clemson being elite.

I did this same thing after the NC without Mond just to show LSUs dominance against three, top tier college QB’s. The numbers are shocking.

best thing about a spreadsheet, it's easy to remove a line.
Here are the stats removing Tx A&M

opposing QBs.
Team comp att yds td int
georgia 20 43 225 1 2
OU 16 34 225 0 1
clemson 18 37 234 0 0

totals 54 114 684 1 3

comp% 0.473684211
yds/gm 171
td/gm 0.25
int/gm 0.75

Burrow:
Team comp att yds td int
georgia 28 38 349 4 0
OU 29 39 493 7 0
clemson 31 49 463 5 0

totals 88 126 1305 16 0

comp% 0.698412698
yds/gm 326.25
td/gm 4
int/gm 0

Not exactly - 111/158 is almost 70% exactly - when have we had a 70% QB?

Also, 19 TDs - a typical number of interceptions would be 7 to 9.

True true. Just trying to be generous. A good QB season for us would have been 111/200 for 2,400, 18 TDs and 6 INTs.

And most of those yards and TDs would have been against NW St., Utah St, Ga So, Ole Miss, Vandy and Arky.

What was funny was an analyst the night before the game was saying LSU'S run defense wasn't good ( they were still hooked on that aberration at OM). LSU was giving up 116/game ( with OM averaged in to that), that's not bad. Queen played his arse off and kept Etienne in check most of the night. The defense's stats against those QBs, are phenomenal numbers.
