Says they “disagree with the courts decision” and will “continue to defend this standard, the principle of fair competition, and the Conference’s authority to govern competition among its member universities.”

They can’t even get it right on their own statement. It’s not, nor has ever been, about pro athletes. Plenty of pro athletes have played college football, hell one even won the heisman.

Sankey made a fool of himself on the stand, he has only himself to blame. Couldn't define amateurism, admitted he wasn't familiar with the bylaws of the new 5 for 5 rule, didn't know the circumstances of the athletes in question, etc. He has only himself to blame.

So they lied when they said they would abide by the courts decision. Even the judge called Sankey out for sometimes following the others and other times not.
