he wasn't his best self but LSU has been very hot at the plate and he did a number on them. He got out of jams a couple times, he made some great pitches to good hitters.

his stats aren't impressive but he had a very good game.

It's easy for skip to say. He has 6 rings.

none of these kids have any.

Do you think Skip still lives and dies with each pitch? I bet he did as a coach. Not any more

You keep moving the goal post. First it was a great pitching performance. Then a good one. Now it's a guy who didn't perform at his best and got in some jams.

Does a player from Vandy or South Carolina get an ovation for giving a good effort and fighting hard ?

I don't consider myself a bad sport but I simply cannot cheer for a team while they're beating us.

yea same here. If we're winning 7-2 and their player makes a great play, fine.

fans would probably cheer for the pitcher after coming out.

I have no problem with it. Again one of the smartest minds in all of college baseball all time praised our fans for cheering for good baseball.

It's just patronizing

THIS

If I was an opposing pitcher in a regional and left the game while my team was losing only to be cheered and applauded by the opposing teams fan base, I would be fricking PISSED. I'd probably yell and scream in the dugout and tell everybody rooting for the other team to go frick themselves with their patronizing bull shite

He also hand picked Smoke Laval as his successor. No one bats 1.000. It's okay to disagree with him.

I like it when it's an inferior opponent or just in general. Very classy and we still came back and won. Don't be so sore. I am as competitive as it gets, but I find it very classy.

Agreed. Actually that kind of happened to me in HS when my team was playing way over our heads, had a big first round win and played a great team that kicked our arse in the second round. I was pissed.

theres a time and place to cheer. Not when you are down 4-3 in the late innings to a team you shouldnt be losing to.

you want them to feel the pressure. Not feel like they are playing at home. Of course youve proven you dont know shite about baseball

this x a million

that was just fricking RETARDED!!

knowledgeable fans my arse.....

Yet LSU won the game even with the cheering. A miracle right there.

Is this another one of those threads filled with LSU 'fans' who didn't attend the baseball game criticizing LSU FANS who actually went to the game??

That's just so precious....

I do it. I see nothing wrong with applauding the play of an opponent.
