Seems like we had a winning culture and good attendance when Fargas got here.

She was unable to produce a winning product and the fans stopped coming.

She would have been replaced years ago except for diversity

Read the comments under the link in the OP. If she didn’t mean it to have racial undertones, people sure took it as such. And that means people of both races.

I am so sick and tired of the racist arguments that are made by people who are inherently obviously racist. If LSU fans were racist and didn’t want to support a black coach, why would they support a womens basketball team that is 93.3% black. The fact is KM is a winner and has been everywhere she has been. It’s no different than the mens basketball team. Win and they will come. It’s simple as that.

Maybe if fargas was a HOF coach, people would believe in her abilities and give her the benefit of the doubt. What dawn really means, LSU was an easy win and wish Fargas was still there.

Reverse racism is totally acceptable, obviously.

I like it. Be salty, bitch. Create a rivalry.

Fargas got a freakin decade of incompetence and apathy.

Staley sees what Kim has done in 6 months and it terrifies her.

didn't take this as a racist comment.

that’s cute, why is there a coordinated effort with CNN talking heads coining her MAGA Mulkey?

Fargas drove LSU women's BB into the dirt.

Fan attendance and excitement went down each year that she coached at LSU. In her final years here, actual attendance at games was less than 1000.

In my first year buying season tickets (Fargas first year as the head coach), the best tickets that I could buy were behind the goal halfway up in the lower bowl. After a couple of years of Fargas ineptitude, I was able to buy tickets near mid court in the 4th row lower bowl. One could have bought numerous primo season tickets because long time fans did not renew!

For Staley to say anything about lack of LSU basketball support for Fargas means she doesn't know what she is talking about and/or she is implying some racist falsehood. Fargas was the culprit and deserved full blame for the lack of fan support at the end of her tenure.

Who cares about women’s basketball? It’s of no interest to anyone outside the players, staff and family. None. It’s awful.

If Fargas is so good, why didn’t Staley pick her up as associate head coach??

Apparently you care enough about it to post. Keep on posting about it and the women's bb threads will stay at the top of the Rant!

I watched SEC Now last night and Mulkey’s name never came out of their mouth. Great coverage for Augustus, as it should have been. When they covered the actual game, it was all USC, USC players, potential, blah blah. It was like LSU wasn’t even there. The other girl (not Fargas) said twice, “but it was close”. No acknowledgement from Fargas.

Translation, we don't need no white people coaching in this league. Especially capable ones.

Yeah winning has nothing to do with any of it. Fargas was not good enough. End of story.
