The base hit was a change up at the hitter's shins. McManus was dropping to his knees to block the ball. That wasn't a terrible pitch.

I like how our pitching coach mixes it up. He'll call a fastball, then follow it up with another fastball. And if you can get the batter O-2, you throw 3 more fastballs, all in the strike zone.
