Need to do them between Junior an Senior year if you aren’t on anyone’s radar,if you are already a 4 star or 5 star you already have offers and no need to prove anything like a kid that is getting no looks.Camps are a big deal for a lot of kids

Do not worry about getting him in a SEC school. Your star rating means nothing in terms of potential. Josh Allen was a no star, Justin Jefferson was a 2 star. There are tons more examples. Tell your son to enjoy himself and if offers come from ANYWHERE, take it!!!! He will get an education which is much more valuable.

If he was sec caliber, sec schools would have been recruiting him in 8th grade.

In camps. Camps and 7v7 showcase tournaments.

Well here is an account of Newman vs Lafayette Christian. I was there and Manning was horrible. He could not move his team at all and was inaccurate and slow. You would expect the #1 QB & #1 overall player in the country to play s hell of a lot better and give his team a chance but he could not do anything. LCA dumped their bench in the 3rd qtr but Manning still could not generate any offense.

LINK

The write up on the game is even worse than I remember.

It’s actually somewhat important. Doug Williams is the only 100% African American QB to win a Super Bowl. With that precedent in place, there is an inherent bias towards white qb prospects.

Being white helps his case significantly as college coaches are much less likely to look at a white QB and try to change his position to something else.

Those are just the facts if you use history as a guide.

On the other side of the coin, If the guy’s son was a cornerback and he failed to mention he was white, that would be a major omission if you look at the history of white cornerbacks in the nfl as well.

If he hasn’t done amy camps going into his senior year, there’s very little chance he gets offered. He could potentially walk on a lower tier d1, d2, or naia.

Those are impressive stats but camps are absolutely necessary.

And he doesn't camp. How is he the TOP recruit in America?

They are assuming he is good based on his name alone.

Peyton was highly rated and well deserved.
Eli was the 15th rated QB in his class; around 300 overall.

Peyton & Eli had similar HS stats and Arch will have similar stats as well.

Based how good both turned out, they are assuming he will be similar to his Uncles.

coming from a 2A school won't get him any SEC looks - lack of competition in 2A and quality of the kids he is playing against is just not there to evaluate your kid - Arch M. is going to have a rude awakening at Texas for that same reason

Yeah, I don't have a kid. Those were Archs stats last year.
Compared to Howard as a junior 3400+ with 39 tds, as a junior...and walker was against 4 and 5A schools.

Kid won't beat out ewers

Kendall Beckwith transitioned fairly well from 2A to the SEC.

No idea if he is SEC caliber or not, but the camps is where the name really gets out.

With the transfer portal now, it is not the worst to start at a smaller school and move up.
