Someone has to step up and help Nabers and Taylor out.

They were the only consistent threats in the passing game that could hold onto the ball

Thomas is good too.
He did have that bad drop on the deep ball, but it was under thrown.
3rd WR spot should be up for grabs. Idk how we can leave Lacy at that spot after this performance…

Lacy has had his chance and has shown he can’t. Time to throw someone else in there

Nabers isn’t that good, he really doesn’t get good separation when he’s WR1

I have no idea why Daniels didn’t throw Thomas a jump ball in the end zone on some of those goals line plays , utter failure in play calling last night

Use this year to develop Jalen Brown and Shelton Sampson so that Nuss has some experienced WRs next year.

Did you see his goal line fade to Nabers?!

You 100% move on from Lacy.
He’s still not ready and is a senior. Why waste the time?

That bum was back on the field after costing the team 2 out of the last 3 games with his drive killing drops.
Everyone knows he has no business playing for LSU and everyone knows BK will continue to march him out there.
5 minutes late for a team meeting? BK will kick you off the team
Drop the most crucial passes in multiple games and kill the team? BK will give you a pat on the back because at least youre trying hard buddy

The scheme is trash that's based around what JD5yards is "comfortable" with & that came straight from denbrock. Stick routes, comebacks and check downs are the staple. He's not going to stretch the field, throw over the middle, no slants or 50/50 balls he's had like 44 starts that's who he is that's on us for believing it would change at 45

Yep, you’re still as stupid as you always were

Said the same to my son as we were watching the game. Look to Nabers, then quickly go to the other side and toss it up to BT. Let him use his length. He didn't get one end zone throw.

They got the ball in Anderson’s hands one time and he went for 8 yards. Didn't get another touch.
Denbrock is not a good OC and I still think this team will score a lot of points this season.

I've never understood Kelly's infatuation with Lacy. I have yet to see anything other than an average, inconsistent WR. There is plenty of talent waiting on the roster to get a chance.

Taylor is going to be a tough one. TEs usually work the middle of the field and our QB just won’t throw it there.

This along with the defense are the biggest factors in the loss.
Man, I thought after that first play we were going to the offense really open up and be what we all hoped.
Unfortunately that was the best play call of the game.

Won't do a deep garbage-dive into the FSU debacle but are there clear areas of blame b/w OC, QB and receivers? Agree that the cancer starts (and may in large part end) with OC plan with routes that seem redundant/predictable and easily defensed. I loathed Denbrock's playcalling much of last year and, despite persistent off-season coach-speak about JD5 improving and willing to throw more deep passes, we essentially saw a reversion to the dull, predictable Les Miles offense minus the pitch plays.
Also noticed poor offensive execution everywhere by the players: very little receiver separation, multiple dropped balls, a WR not knowing where the end zone ends (killing a potential TD). 0L getting manhandled by FSU DL, esp on critical plays. JD5 looked like a frosh QB in his first game: overthrowing wide open RB on a wheel route, underthrowing a tall WR (killing another potential TD), taking sacks, and making poor reads/decisions.
As frustrating as G1 was, LSU can still win SECW. I expect JD5 starts but Nuss comes into the Grambling game...if he can score multiple times w/o INTs or stalled drives, who knows what week 3 brings?

Hilton and Anderson need to be more involved.
