This is who Oregon State has played in series this year:

Vs. San Diego
Vs. Grand Canyon
@ Cal Poly
@ Nebraska
Vs #18 UC Irvine
@ Cal State Fullerton
@Cal State Northridge
@ #5 Oregon
@ Hawaii
Vs Iowa
Vs Long Beach State

They played two games against the SEC and lost both to Auburn and Oklahoma. Toughest series against Oregon got beat all four games. How are they even considered to be a top 8 seed with that dog shite fricking schedule? Yes this is in response to perfect game projections.

No conference affiliation so they played a ton on the road, which gave a mega boost to their RPI

If you look at the nitty gritty report, it doesn’t even make sense as to why they have a higher RPI than us.

I don’t foresee the committee giving a conference-less OSU a national seed over an SEC/ACC team with a similar resume.

They were really smart in how they scheduled games as an independent. They manufactured a good RPI doing that. 32 Q1/2 games is competitive with SEC teams. They also only played 19 home games. A Q1 road game is someone ranked in the top 60 instead of 25, and Q2 is 60-120 on the road. So they picked up a lot of easy RPI points playing on the road so much. They also played 15 neutral site games, which also have a higher threshold for Q 1/2

So against common opponents LSU was 4-3 against Nebraska (neutral) Oklahoma (road) and Auburn while Oregon State was what 1-4??? Seems pretty clear cut right there imo

There's no justification for it and the committee is not going to favor them over LSU. Stop worrying about clickbait.

Tbh, nobody's rankings mean anything at all when it comes to LSU. If the Tigers do what they have done all year with this seriously crippled hitting line up, it won't take much from any team to beat us.

As far as the league is concerned, I agree. I guess its wins and loses. I mean LSU is ranked number 1. We all know we aren't a real number 1 caliber type team. Maybe we can be ranked top 6 in pitching but we are probably ranked 32nd in hitting. Just and opinion of course just for picture painting of course. We all know this though.

Who do you like more? Texas? Vanderbilt?

LSU is 6th, Vandy 9th and Texas 13th in hitting - conference games only.

They are 1/2/3 in pitching. Texas, LSU then Vandy.

Everyone is flawed. Most more than us.

hope so....if the Tigers can hit, we can make it to Omaha imo meaning we got the sauce defensivily and on the bump. If we dont hit, it will be hard to go anywhere. If those teams hit worse than us, they gonna be sitting too in the near future.

i can agree but like i was saying the other day, if we are no.1 we'll shite the top 10 can all be ranked no.1 too. Jmo. I just cant go with LSU being number 1 when we cant hit for shite.

They aren’t in the SEC.
The big question is how many SEC teams will be allowed in the top 8 seeds.
