Has LSU ever considered using a shuttle service from Cortana mall utilizing their huge empty parking lot and shuttling people to Tiger Stadium. You could allow people to drink and have fun (think party bus) on the shuttle and bring them to and from stadium. It would leave at the end of the game and would get priority out of the area allowing people to quickly get to their cars and disallow early leaves. Charge a smaller amount to park and hire security to drive around the parking lot at Cortana to deter theft. Win for everyone including using a deserted mall to help bring in revenue where there otherwise would be none. Just a thought.

Nobody wants to park at Cortana at night.

Not that far and that's part of the solution. It puts those people who choose to do it far away from the TS traffic with multiple routes home.

This plan sounds horrible.

A) thats really far from the stadium
B) Cortana Mall area at night isn't the best place to leave your car

Google maps tells me this trip is 8.8 miles and would take 21 minutes.

It's been awhile since I have lived in BR but I would say less than 15 mins away...is that about right? I do know from going to games with my dad we would sit in traffic much longer. This puts you out of all the traffic and as a bonus you get to consume beverages on the ride. I do get it and know that Cortana is not the best area was thinking of an area with a lot of open parking. The idea is what I think LSU should look into not necassarily that location.

It’s not a bad concept if you can find a place about half that distance.

They could even build a lot down Nicholson, towards Prairieville...maybe just past the country club.

Dude you leave your car at Cortana and it’s almost sure to be broken into. Terrible idea

Also the traffic isn’t that terrible and the party bus would have to sit in the same traffic anyway so what’s the point

Again been awhile since I have gone to a game with my dad but last time I went they shut down certain roads to control the flow of traffic. Allow these buses to go down closed off roads to avoid the traffic and get people to the off campus lot. In other words the buses get priority. Helps them get to their cars quicker. Helps LSU and others but cutting down car count around stadium.

I’d rather sit in traffic for hours than have to shuttle to Cortana after a game.

As for keeping the students in the stadium, BR needs to allow the bars to stay open till 3. It's the only way to combat this generation's "need" to be at Fred's and Bogie's after every single game
