So...Jamarr Chase sits out and per McShay and Kiper will still go in the Top 5.

This is NOT going to set a good precedent.

Not every player is at a jamaar chase level though. Look at his 2019 production. He was a big part of burrows success in 2019

Not the same as opting out midseason.
ETA: Where do you think he should go?

Chase is really freaking good. It's not surprising he's still projected to go in the top 5.
Not every player that opts out early is as good as he is.

I don't know if he goes top 5.
I'd be surprised if he goes top 5

He's a more complete receiver (size (granted, not height necessarily), blocking, speed, routes, hands, etc.) than anyone else in the draft, including the incredibly talented heisman winner. Not surprising. This year's draft is loaded at WR. If anyone sucks at passing in the NFL the next few years, it's on the line or QB.

Honestly, maybe let Sophmore apply for a waiver?
Let the GMs select 10 or less
Idk

He was THAT good in 2019.

the only other player that could even remotely possibly do this would be Stingley... and keep in mind, it's not like he opted out of a normal season.... if there was no COVID happening and he would have opted out of playing, there's no way in hell teams would still be considering him in the top 5... but the COVID stuff gave him and other players an excuse to sit out, not take a chance of injury, and time to get ready for the NFL early, without any sort of repercussion of making that decision, really....
basically, there's no precedent being set, at all, unless there's another global pandemic around the corner for next season, and the season after that, and so on....

Absolutely must take the best receiver coming into the draft since Megatron, and that's Devonta Smith.

Wow man I agree that smith is a bad dude but this is laughable.

Get over it. Move on from it. Kids and their family will continue to do what they need to secure their future.

He allowed Davonte to jump him on the board.
