I'm not complaining, but why hire the same day? I don't know what to think.

Yeah, that's my thought.

Some say Scott was fired over his politics and also Tate was pushed out. What are Verge's politics?

Certainly do not want Wilson as the head coach of LSU football and 99% doubt it will happen but..........Nah, you would be like all the clowns calling O silly names like Rosy Finch and Shrimp Boat Captain........................................UNTIL about the middle of the 2019 season.

Yes I will. On the other hand, he would go perfectly with the loser now posing as AD at LSU. I never imagined I would regret Woodward leaving

Woodward was a good AD & we will soon be entering the find out phase.

I don’t like it, but I’ll die on this hill.

Landry has all the grace of a three legged Tasmanian devil, so this has actually been relatively transparent from the moment he appeared.

It is what it is. We could still luck our way into a good situation here depending on how the chips fall.

Landry created a situation where we had to move fast and in a way that made the fewest waves. If they can get their shite together and hire a good coach it will be forgiven. But if they fumble the hire then this past month will be seen as the most catastrophic in LSU history.

Yes. I think this is getting everyone in alignment for hiring the HC and what is required to have a successful program.

If LSU beats Bama it won't be because Frank suddenly sprinkled some special Frank pixey dust over the program. It'd just prove what a drain Sloan and BK were on the roster.

But we ain't beating Bama.

I wonder if we'll end up with Will Wade again in basketball.

Rousse screwed the pooch yesterday. His honeymoon is over, Emmert never would’ve elevated a glorified schedule maker who forgot to add game no zero clauses with tough opponents that cost us 2 losses. Verge is in over his head day 1 in midst of a football coaching search and key negotiations on private public partnerships for the new basketball arena.

With corporate sponsorship dependency increasing, I expect private companies to fleece Verge on their sponsorships.

I'm good if he focuses on the business/political side and let Dalton handle the academic/research sides of the business. Neither are flashy hires.

Sure thing he will lure Wade back to LSU.

When the system president and LSUA&M chancellor relationship was set up under Ed Edwards, the former was a political type who got a nice office with matching salary while the latter ran the big show including influencing the TAF. That's the way it worked until O'Keef, a professional appointee, effectively surrendered his chancellor job to the president. Now Landry has reestablished Edward's vision of LSU oversight. Maybe it's a Cajun thing.

I don’t recognize that guy. If you’re going to use a picture of O, you’ll need to post the appropriate one that is current. You know, the one where he looks like his face has been pulled back to his a-hole.

Verge was a political hire. In order to get Rousse approved, to get the remaining JBE people on the BOS to approve Rousse, you keep Verge. If anything, Verge should have been pushed out with SW. This is politics pure and simple.

Anyone could use the same formula SW used to get a Coach, and SW assistants were running everything but football. So, if they get innovative with a young coach for 1/2 the money and 1/2 the years, it is no worse than SW.

I really hope Rousse can bring the needed changes to LSU. Get the JBE people out and reverse a lot of the disturbing trends happening there. I am willing to take Verge to get that done. I just hope they use some input from the outside to make the football hire.

What's done is done. The investigation into the Title IX violations at LSU were damning so far as I am concerned. The fact that LSU won the suit does not change the facts. Also, one must understand that how that report was written did not completely reflect the behavior that happened. It filtered it as those type of documents do.
