Just watch. We're gonna be super aggressive against A&M next week and watch Reed run all over us.

He thought he could drop 8 in a zone and Chambliss would make a mistake. But he looked like Tom Brady. He occasionally brought pressure but not often enough. Every time we rushed 3 it was a wide open completion. You have to send inside blitzes on him. When we did we caused problems. I think they were scared of Chambliss running. Instead he ate us up through the air.

Well, I felt they played scared. What is the difference in blitzing him more ( worked effectively in the second half and then backed off from that once they tied the game) and playing zone and getting carved up for TD’s.

They were forced to play 10 yards off the ball. That's where they went. They seem to thrive in an aggressive approach.

I believe that is Lane's say so. He is the head coach and can force adjustments to both offense and defense.

Offense and defense over did it on the game planning in the first half. How many targets to Green & Winnie in the first half? How many first down run plays in the first couple of series?
When both staffs know each other like this, it’s about matchups and we definitely tried to overthink it.

Baker rushed 3 or 4 and dropped 8 for 3 out of 4 quarters. He planned to give cushions of 5-10 yards and ran zone. Made no adjustments through 1st two quarters which is absolute horse shite. 3rd quarter cam out swinging and then went back to prevent like a bitch.

frick Blake Baker, I’m done with him. We have the dudes to run with guys. Be a man and fight instead of conceding through conservatism. Your big game play calling is trash, your scheme is trash, you’re wasting your time here. Go coach in another conference.

it's actually worse than that. We did not drop 8 for 3 quarters. But, we regularly played our DBs off the WRs then soft blitzed our LBs into the LOS leaving a huge gap underneath that made it easy for Chambliss. If we had dropped 8, the LBs would've been in those lanes for the short passes.

Gameplan was very obvious that we didn’t want allow the big play and keep everything in front of us.

Would have rather made them beat us deep then give up dink and dunk passes up and down the field all night, but that’s just me.

I’m sorry, but what exactly were the two LBs and the Star doing while we rushed the 4 down lineman? Your saying we spied Chablis with two LBs? Get real, they were covering a zone or spying the wide side.

He's a way different animal. Probably see more spy stuff against him because he won't beat you throwing as much as Chambliss will. Exactly how Ole Miss played Leavitt at the beginning of the game.

Yep and it was all underneath. If you can't cover the slot - it will be dink and dunk all night long.

If you have good defensive people, why play scared? We do have good defensive personnel. The best ones are just watching (our safeties).

I was thinking the same...soft cushion..prevent defense the entire first half...
