BK's a southpaw, too.

It's possible we have a big time transfer QB coming in, and he knew he'd look scared if he left after that became public. So he's getting out ahead of it.

But really, no telling

I'm guessing it had a lot to do with Orgeron benching him because Doug Nussmeier complained that his kid wasnt playing enough, then blabbing about it in the media.

That would have pissed me off.

Maybe he should have played better then

no doubt.

that has nothing to do with the way Orgeron handled it. Just say your post season goals are out of reach and you want to get Nuss as many reps as you can without burning his red shirt. Dont go telling America that you were influenced by a player's dad.

Unlike others I embrace Kelly running off soft kids. We have an adult running things now, adults in charge don’t work for every kid.

There are many words that can be used to describe Max with a lot of them being uncomplimentary, but soft is not one of them. The young man took a physical beating in almost all of the games played this past season and he got up every damned time he was knocked down and he took some brutal shots over the course of this past season. Max is one tough SOB.

Which, lets be honest here, he didn't really do enough this fall to earn a guaranteed starting spot.

Other than Quin Evers, I'm not seeing credible replacements. If by chance we get Rattler. I will actively root against him.

Historically…it’s hard to build around them
jibberish.

Steve Young, Tua, Michael Vick say hi.

Was Burrow in a competition during Spring ball in ‘19? Was Trevor Lawrence?
your two examples were both overall no. 1 draft picks. So your argument doesn't carry much weight.

New QB blood comes into every program every year. Now sure, last year's starter may have a leg up in the spring, but it's an open competition every year.

And everyone knows that.

The good news concerning incoming transfers is the time frame in which transfers can be accepted, which I believe is around the start of fall camp.

While at present there may be no credible replacements, will the same be true after spring ball? Or over the next month?

His offensive line didn't help, but he's going to be very good with proper coaching. Regardless, Ed sure recruited a lot of quitters.

I think most will agree that Johnson has not played well enough to be told the job is his to lose going into Spring.

I definitely don't agree with that.

It’s a tough situation. You either bring someone in to compete for the starting job and risk losing your younger guys or bring in a competent backup.

Point is, if we want another QB on the roster it won’t be hard to get one

My theory is that his brother did not want to come here and he wants to sign somewhere next week. Hence the decision to transfer and the timing. That and the realization that Walker Howard will be the QB of the future.

I mean Not exactly. His history at LSU with the fans is the same with the new coach. And honestly, I think Players should get to reassess their situation when the school hits reset on the coaching staff.

His brother has to sign a commitment letter in less than two weeks and they want to play together. I think he wanted to finish the season (bowl game) and then decide, but his family meant more to him than the team. He leaves now to give the team as much time as possible to compensate. Good luck to them where ever they end up. Next man up.
