Basically talks were about how to get out of it and save as much face as possible, mostly the SEC face

Allegedly, SEC wanted LSU to suspend Kiffin, assuming for his half time comment, and LSU flat refused

Likely they were trying to convince LSU to take some kind of "self-imposed" punishment along with a public statement of apology admitting "wrong-doing" and vows to change. This is my own opinion of what the talks are about, because if the SEC had any grounds to punish LSU, they would have done it already. But they know there is nothing they can do.

And again, Kiffin said when he thought cameras were off, "it took me everything I had to not say imagine if we had pro players" and he DID NOT say DURING the interview "imagine if we had pro players" full quote matters

Today's SEC statement is because they know that the lawsuit is about to be dismissed with prejudice and that is it done and dusted
