Yall really don't get it. Let's see how they finish in the SEC and in the postseason. They've done really well in non-conference almost every year. It's expected. I hope they continue on and get a top 8 seed and make it to the WCWS. Unfortunately, if they don't, the 20-0 start will not matter.

UL-L beat LSU in a Regional Final AT HOME last season. Quite frankly, if they would have fired her on the spot, I would have had no problem with it.

Why, are there things you can't speak about on the rant. I thought it was an open opinion thing.

You have to be careful when speaking about certain things about softball. If you say the wrong thing, you could get threatened on your Facebook page... it's happened to me several times.

Wake me up when they're contending for a regular season SEC title and a high NCAA seed. Otherwise it's still the same old song and dance.

Yes, let’s ignore the fact that 4 of the 6 WCWS berths LSU has had came under Torina. Let’s judge her only relative to the standard she herself created rather than the historical standards of LSU. No, lately, she has not kept the program at the same heights, but the program has still been as strong as just about any other time in its history. If things don’t head back in the right direction in the next year or two, then perhaps it’s time to move on, but the expectations some of you have for what this program should be are ridiculous.

They will drop one this weekend if they get them in and you’ll see the pitchforks and torches out.

I've said before, Torina is no more than a pitching coach. The first change was made and that was by chance, Leftwich got another gig. The hitting does seem a bit improved so far but........didn't they start 20-1 last year before SEC play? Hopefully we've turned in the right direction but I'll have a wait and see opinion.

Were you personally hurt that some fans were chirping about Torina not meeting expectations and (up until this year) not making changes? Seems so.

Settle down, we haven’t even hit SEC play yet. All indications seem that the team has improved, but the proof will be in conference and tourney time.

Non-competitive Pump Nuts that have never played any team sports at any level, defend and make excuses for ANY dysfunction in every LSU Sport.

It's gross and .......

This is off topic, but can someone give me some insight on going to a softball game? My family of 5 will be at the gymnastics meet on Friday night and planning on staying overnight and going to the softball game on Saturday. The only thing available on the LSU site are the general admission berm and bleacher tickets. SeatGeek tickets are ridiculous and very few listed. How hard is it to get seats in the outfield bleachers or is the berm better? Do we bring bag chairs? Thanks for any insight or tips.

If you have smaller children, you and they will really enjoy the berm. I wish baseball would catch up to the times and put a berm in Alex Box.

And yes, you bring your own seating in the berm though if you are young and supple enough, sitting on a blanket on the ground is fun and still gives you a great view even when Tiger Park is crowded.

Ok so we’re a game into conference play. The rest of my point is still entirely valid.

Well, there is one guy that does not have lower bowl tickets in the choice seats right behind the plate but he sits there all the time.

Somehow I don’t think that would work for you, me, or anyone else.

Where were you the last 5 years? I’ve been pulling for her to do SOMETHING different. She had gotten stale and you know it. She has the worst record of the 4 coaches at LSU since they started the program back in 1997 playing in the SEC (only played 3 years as an independent from 79-81). Torina actually is dragging down LSU’s overall program winning percentage of .735 and only has 2 seasons of at least 50 wins. I’ll always pull for LSU and never a coach, but don’t sit here and act like she’s been lighting it up since 2017. She had 35 and 34 total wins in the previous 2 years.

Cathy Compton 2 years .785 - 1 season 50+ wins

Glenn Moore 2 years .833 - 2 seasons 50+ wins

Yvette Girourd 11 years .755 - 6 seasons 50+ wins

Beth Torina 12 years .699 - 2 seasons 50+ wins

Stealthy. She'll least expect it when she's the most successful.
