Why didnt we bring him in weeks ago?

This is a legit question. He should have been brought in the moment it was known Lindsay would be out.

He is often considered the goat of D-line coaches.

So you are paying all of this money to the coaching staff and have to bring in an 80 year old man to kick start this thing?

Apparently you have not kept up with our defensive line coaching. We brought in a talented coach in May, Jimmy Lindsey. He was hospitalized in early August and stepped away from coaching. Our D line was supposed to be a strength and because of lack of coaching, has been a huge weakness (except Wingo).

Whether you like BK is now, we are trying to fix the problem. Why is this such a bad thing?

He coached DL once in his career, and that was 20 years ago.

Kelly and the staff can see there's an issue with the quality of coaching going on with that group.

Did CBK only just now realize that there was a defense and it had problems?

After giving up 700 yds last week...anyone with credibility is welcome to try and come fix the defense. This is not a bad idea as lsu has lacked owning the line of scrimmage defensively for the last 2 games

Talked to a buddy of mine who played DL in college. He confirmed my suspicions that we are playing Read and React versus Read and Attack. My friend camped under Pete and he said the skills taught today are the same ones Pete has taught for years and Pete teaches both approaches.

Hopefully he can straighten up the inability to contain the play on the ends

I don't mind at all having PJ back coaching up the DL. What bothers me is that BK seems to be a step behind on what this team needs. Pete should have been called weeks ago when it was clear Jimmy was done for the season.

It’s almost like these people don’t realize our DL coach hasn’t been with the team for 3 months. Pete isn’t the end all be all solution for the defensive troubles, but he knows more about coaching DL than anyone currently in the building.

Jenkins is a great DL coach and will help that position. That area of the defense has too much talent to be playing like it did Sat b

Brian Kelly can count to 10. BK is like 1,000,000 X smarter than that fricking retard.

Unless the rules have changed an Analyst cannot do on-field coaching. Pete can provide some advice. He will not be on the practice field.

They are fortifying a missing position coach. Why is that so hard to comprehend?

Our CB coach has only been a high s hook coach and asst special teams coach. Maybe Kelly can get him some help too.

Most of our defensive linemen are using the same move every time they rush the passer. Many times either running into each other or getting completely washed out of the play.

If he can just teach them a couple moves a piece, and get them to play as a unit more often, we will see improvement at the line of scrimmage.

If he can convince BK to get Womack more involved on top of that, we will probably see a lot of improvement.
